Lolabelle Pancake:

Hello everybody. It's Saturday night and I'm in the poutin' shanty getting plushed to what's called "the scuppers" with Courtney, Gus Bodenheim, Booker T. Bodenheim, Euneeda Bodenheim, Rummy Delbarton, a distant cousin of Flip the Frog, Raul Raul Raul Jr., the ghost of Sophie Tucker, and Jackie something-or-other. We're listening to Ukulele Ike platters, smoking Rancho Malarios (and Malariettes), sipping Sly Weasel bourbon, and preparing for Courtney's heralded return to the airwaves after a one-week hiatus.

This is one of my fav shows! And it's now following one of my others. Perfect. Do you think Codger may work in some mind control content to help move product?

Oh yeah was kinda nice to have Monica ...more worried about where to sit than usual - if less worried about what I might sit on if you know what I mean...

If anybody had to miss Miss Monica last week as I did, the technical people at WFMU have kindly figured out how to record the shows so you can play them later on the computer!
Avatar 7:15pm

Hello, Laura. As I understand it, you're the granddaughter of Laura Bodenheim, correct? How is the old hussy?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:16pm
Listener Howard & the Cats:

Monica is one of my all-time most-favorite DJs EVER. But I gotta say, I did miss the aggression, negativity, paranoia, and alcohol fumes that Courtney brings every week.

@Lolabelle: My grandfather's older brother worked the vaudeville circuit with Sophie Tucker, and after he retired and moved back home used to regularly get letters and cards from her. He died before I realized the import of all that, so I was never able to get any stories directly from him. :(
