Finnish musician, Es., otherwise known as Sami Sänpäkkilä, says of his music, "..the greatest moments I usually find while listening to music with headphones in bed at night. The music being something like ambient or noise or click/scratch looped stuff or just something that usually expresses a feeling of being alone and that of melancholy or sadness." Sami says the music doesn't make him feel that way but rather it sends him in a direction of hope and kindness. The new Es album, "Sateenkaarisuudelma," will be available in January 2005 through Fonal Records and he tours with Jeffrey Alexander and Miriam Goldberg of Black Forest/Black Sea and Fursaxa , bringing a live set to WFMU.
