Listener comments!

  12:10pm Listener Dave:

Any chance of a "saved from the flood" bin of stuff for sale at the record fair?
  2:36pm Brian C.:

Good idea, Dave, dibs on the cheesey Italian VU covers LP
  3:00pm Ken:

Hey, I didn't save that stuff from the rising waters so I could sell it. I'm amazed that there is some good stuff among those 1500 LPs. I'll be focusing on those records more in coming weeks. I only brought a handful in today. Good Rats don't sounds as bad as I expected them to...
2:45pm listener rob from san francisco:

Jesus Castro candy clip is from "If Footmen Tire You, What Will Horses Do?", 1972.

  3:13pm Greg:

Our sump pump died during a rain storm about a year ago, Ken, and the water rose to about mid-calf. I lost a bottom shelf of records, fully 25% of my collection, and the pain lingers. Although that shelf had all of my As and some of my Bs (up to most of Bowie), there was also a lot of crap lumped in there when we moved: The collected King Biscuit Flower Hours from 1983-83, anyone? Not anymore! All my barking dog security records: gone! My Mobile Sound Fidelity pressing of Isao Tomita's Snowflakes are Dancing? Covered in crud. Props to you, sir, for having the presence of mind to move the lot to your ping pong table. Meanwhile, I've been dragging the funerals out to a weekly series, throwing one or two out each week. Next week, though, the moldy platters go in the dumper, as my bride has put her foot down: The minor seepage brought on by last weekend's Nor'easter led her to look more closely at what seems to be growing down there. Lame is okay. But "festering" goes out with the trash, I'm afraid.
  5:51pm Ike:

Aaaah, so *Crowe* is responsible for getting that Cypress Hill record on. I was wondering about that; didn't think that sounded very Ken-like, although I enjoyed it. Some of the other stuff, though, could've drowned IMHO. Yiiikes.
