Listener comments!

My comment is naught.

Tue. 4/24/07 11:14am From: Charlie

The emptiness of your comment is full of possibility.

Fri. 4/27/07 5:11pm From: Greg

You know, Charles, old boy, this visual element you've added here may just be to overwhelming for the listeners. A splendid show, I must note, and the photography selection suits it handsomely. Here's hoping individuals Googling for a new Peterbilt or Mack come across this page and become big Chaz fans.

Sun. 4/29/07 6:21pm From: Charlie

Glad you enjoyed the pix, Greg. And any trucker who listens to 'FMU is a real Mack daddy as far as I'm concerned!

Tue. 5/1/07 11:12am From: QJ

Sort of like the WFMU staff.

Wed. 5/2/07 3:23pm From: Mike Lupica

I commented to Charlie in person regarding this last week, but I would also like to publicly thank him for having the godlike insight to give Rosey Grier's "It's Alright to Cry" some airtime. I'd be hesitant to re-examine most of the other songs from the "Free to Be" collection, but that's one for the ages, no doubt. Thanks Chas!

(Useless trivia: I was in my school's 4th grade production of "Free to Be" and sang parts in both "Glad to Have a Friend Like You" and "Helping".)

Wed. 5/2/07 3:23pm From: Lupica Again

Crap, I've now listened to it seven times in a row.

Wed. 5/2/07 5:29pm From: Charlie

It is not useless trivia to tell us that you were in your school's 4th grade production of "Free to Be," because, at this point, there's only one thing that will get this song out of your head, Mike: an all-staff WFMU production of "Free to Be"! And you can head it up, since you already know the songs and stuff. We could throw in some songs from "Really Rosie," while we're at it. "It might make you feel better." Anyway, glad you're enjoying your own personal Rosey Grier-a-thon!

Wed. 5/2/07 11:10pm From: Kenzo

Don't hesitate! I still have the original record. I brought it all back into my life when I was asked to fill in for the children's show at another station:

I remember when my sister played a part in "William Has a Doll."

Mon. 5/7/07 10:11pm From: Charlie

So, Kenzo, you will be a natural to sing that number yourself! It's all falling together...
