This program features three tracks each week, culled from the endless barrage of independent 45s that were released throughout the 1990s. A shameless re-visitation of those halcyon days when mailorder and photocopied fanzines ruled the school.

I'd forgotten how good that FitK single is... thanks for digging it out of the crate. Also... back when Greenhorn first took a break (94/95ish), Dan Spurgeon started another band called "Bush League All Stars" -- who took "Lover's Song" and re-named it (after perhaps tweaking a few lyrics) "Chastity." (Recognition was easy, getting the right title required listening to the CD). You may draw your own conclusions from that one...

You just ended a years-long internal diaog I've been having with myself -- I heard someone play a cover of that song years ago on the radio, and I never knew who it was by until now. Thanks!

yes, Yes, YES. Fire In the Kitchen is one of my favorite "elusive" bands. The only thing I own is "The Fog" b/w "Inspector Marais," and damn is it a perfect single. One of my favorite 7"s, actually, but boy has it been tough tracking down more material.
