So what'd you do for the long weekend? Cookout? Mountain biking expedition? Sit on your ass?

I managed a combination of all three, thank you very much.

>>>So what'd you do for the long weekend? Cookout? Mountain biking expedition? Sit on your ass?<<<

nice show last nite. can't go wrong with a gbv> brainbombs> ac/dc combo. glad 24's ended & i can tune in for the summer.

this weekend, which should have been a 5 day vaca but was trimmed done to 3 because of the recent flooding, was pure suburban hell. cookout sat evening w/ a screening of cannibal holocaust on the lcd projector... can't say it made it any better...

sun was a trip to sears to buy a lawnmower. have you been there recently? truly a level of hell... probably just above the nj dmv & getting a colonoscopy.

mon was yard work w/ some rolling rocks & flipper, black flag, buttholes, gi, & the minutemen on the 5 disc shuffle cranked up loud enough for all the neighbors to enjoy.

these are the sounds of the suburbs...
  3:22pm pete in LA:

I didn't know that math was going to be involved. And where's my freakin t-shirt?
  3:26pm Mike Lupica:

There is always math involved. In everything. I will ask Megan about your freakin' t-shirt.
  9:53pm alan:

haaa, you're so hooked on the Wire.

me too, I think we started watching around the same time. I'm 1/2 thru season 3. BTW, if you look, you can download it all. I have season 4 waiting on my HD, shhhh!

I wonder if Barksdale is gonna off Marlo.

I think you visit from George Pelicanos was the last straw for me to start watching. I think Evan funk Davies was always touting it too, amongst others.

take care
  11:01pm Mike Lupica:

Right on, Alan! I won't spoil anything for you, but let me just say that season three concludes with a mindblowing headscrew. I await season four with unparalleled anticipation...

It's kind of fun, actually... I haven't been hooked on a TV show since... I dunno... Barney Miller?

mike
  12:07am alan:

oh, hey, btw, have you checked out Metalocalypse on the 'toon network?

I think it's your cup of tea, it's brutal.

just check it out

watch 'em all here, but I recommend download or rent/buy dvd if it's out
