Live Performance by Rasputina

Culling subjects from current world events, and finding them stranger than anything the past could conjure, Rasputina frontperson Melora Creager penned the ensemble's 6th disc, "Oh Perilous World", twisting those events to fit her own vision. The disc has just been released on their own Filty Bonnet Records. Rasputina employs elaborate costuming during performances, partly in response to the fact that cellists sit to play. Melora, along with percussionist Jonathon Tebeest and second cellist Sara Bowman brought their theatrical music to WFMU's performance studio.
