Listener comments!

  9:53am
Pamela:

Honestly, I don't understand the popularity of this Neon Pirbroch. It's ok once in a while, but it's so long and just becomes annoying noise. Unless that's the point of course, and then it's great.
  10:10am
Jason:

I thought that song was rad, its rather trandscendental once it gets going. the whole point of the annoying noise is to make the harmonious parts all the more exuberant.
  10:12am
Hatch:

Who said it was popular?
  10:12am
Lang:

I too was a bit put off by Pirboch, at least towards the end. HOWEVER it's compositions such as these that make me so much more appreciative of the types of 'drone' muisc I do enjoy. Nice work Hatch!
  10:16am
Fitz:

Death to drone.
  10:18am
ali:

I love Grapefruit, I have "Around", But I still don't know anything about them. Does anyone know if they put out anymore material?
  10:36am
Pamela:

OK, well, maybe that song isn't popular, but I thought I heard the same one on other shows. Jason, I'll listen closer next time. It's hard to listen carefully at work.
  10:36am
Hatch:

Apparently they had an album before Around but I've never seen it anywhere...
  10:42am
Matt:

Great Dennis Alcapone track- can't go wrong with that "Love me Forever" track.
  10:46am
jason:

i concede that sometimes the drone gets annoying especially if your cooworkers are strict z100 enthusiasts. i know offices that only listen to two pink floyd albums (guess which ones) over and over and over... now that's drone!
  10:51am
Matt:

I personally love listening to drone at work- it drowns out annoying co-workers perfectly!
  10:53am
Derek:

Drone isn't nearly lively enough to drown out the terrible boredom of my job. Kill me.
  10:56am
Pamela:

I must say, it's fun to watch people's faces at work when they walk by my computer and hear what's on.
  10:58am
Derek:

In North Carolina, where I live, I knew a guy who had some crazy outstanding really minor traffic violations. After years of not taking care of them, cops stormed into his place of work and arrested him on the spot. Probably not common - but do you want to take the risk? It can't be too expensive. Suck it up, deal with the pain in the ass, and get it all cleared up.
  10:58am
mat:

fuck it, they'll never take you alive
  11:01am
chris:

pay the ticket- they {the man) will trace you with your license # and not your address, if you don't pay, your friend might have to or worse yet it follows you forever- stay off the scofflaw grid
  11:03am
orthicon:

take care of your ticket, it's linked to your SS #, if you don't pay it eventually it will come out of your taxes with tonnes of penalty late fees tacked on. or worse, lead to a warrent, which can really bone you one day
  11:04am
Tim:

Sounds like Failure to observe signal. Plead Not Guilty. Get a court date. Go, dress nice. A: if the cop liked you he can no-show and it will be dismissed. B: If he is too busy, he may not show up and it will be dismissed. C: If he shows up and you get guilty, you pay anyway and you have exercised your right to a trial. I have gotten two tickets like that and both were dismissed without any conversation. (Now thats Manhattan but I imagine brooklyn is just as busy) Any way Not guilty!
  11:05am
dan lipert:

NY is one of the states in the Driver License Compact which causes states to exchange data for offenses in an effort to have your home state dept of motor vehicles take action against you. However, wikipedia says that New York only applies this compact for Major Offenses. So you may be safe, best to ask your DMV.

  11:06am
Derek:

"Hi, DMV. I broke the law. So what's a man got to do to avoid paying his fine?"
  11:07am
Ed:

I got a ticket on the way to FMU the first time I volunteered, 3/25/98, for "tampering with a cone device" -- I moved one trying to get out of an EZ Pass lane at the Lincoln Tunnel before I had EZ Pass. The issuing officer was a right bastard, but his underling, who actually wrote me up, told me to contest it when he was out of earshot! I did. This, of course, meant taking an afternoon off from work (o da hawah!), but in the end I prevailed and saved myself $75.00 or something, which felt great. I Fight the power however you can, Hatch.
  11:11am
Rob Walters:

Don't pay to see The Simpsons at the theater. It's only as good as yer average tv episode. Download it for free here:

http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3756791/%5BNTi%5D_The.Simpsons.Movie.PROPER.TELESYNC.XViD-PUKKA

Regarding the moving violation, you should pay it. The points probably won't carry over to your Arizona license, unless you become a scofflaw, in which case your license will be suspended thru interstate agreement. Parking tickets are different than moving violations for scofflaws, I can tell you some stories. Usually signs that say no left turn except trucks also say in smaller letters, (between 7am and 7pm). I got pulled over in Nebraska for doing 77 in a 65 zone. I forgot all about it, then years later went to buy a car and got all snagged up. Having a suspended license also affects your insurance rate - they don't care WHY it was suspended, just that it WAS suspended.
  11:15am
Derek:

Couldn't agree with Rob more. It is too risky trying to get away with a minor traffic violation. Imagine what may happen in the future. Instead you should definitely commit the felony of criminal copyright infringement.
  11:21am
Sean:

I don't know about contesting traffic violations, but I tried to fight an MTA ticket once and spent about 7 long boring hours in the courthouse for no good reason. I had to pay in the end. And I missed work. No fun.
  11:36am
Paria:

der Wahnsinn ist zwischen den Ohren zu Haus
  11:54am
greg:

what was playing in the bg just before this country block?
sounded like boards of canada or something similar, I liked it.
  11:55am
Hatch:

That was Harmonia...
  11:56am
Lang:

Yeah! Wanda! country vs rockin. She kinda sounds like a psycho. ha
  11:59am
Trish:

The Simpsons movie is a must see for all fans of the show if only to see what's missing from tv due to the censors.
  2:16pm
crumsho:

man, i love that astral social club track.
  4:26am
tony:

I loved the Neon Pibroch . good work Hatch !!
