spacehoof! Yes, you're correct -- people confuse the "Big Pink" LP with the Basement Tapes, which _were_ recorded upstate and not originally intended for release as we all know. John "My Name Is Jack" Simon produced "Music from Big Pink" in Manhattan, somewhere in midtown -- I used to know studio name, can't remember now. RCA? Anybody?
