Favoriting Seven Second Delay with Ken and Andy: Playlist from August 8, 2007 Favoriting

The program formerly known as Dinner at Andy's, The Fuzzy Glove Hour, Whores, and The Happiness Hut. Ken and Andy, also known as The Enema Boys, further lower WFMU's already abysmal standards on a weekly basis. Stunt radio which subjects the radio audience to concepts and topics which mature adults should not have to endure. Find the fatal flaw. (Visit homepage.)

That was one of the funniest show this year, don't be so hard on yourselves.
  4:35am
Listener zero:

Most retarded idea ever. I will try to send some new ones in by e-mail, as you seem to be running on fumes in the concept department.

John from Oslo:

Bless this show.

Salute - Italian - means health
Prosit - danish, norwegian and swedish
terveydeksi - Finnish
Na zdrovie - polish = to you health
bood zdarov - russian = be healthy

In Venezuela:
If someone sneezes once, you say salud (good health)
If they sneeze again, you say dinero (money)
And if they sneeze a third time, you say amor (love)

Gezondheid - Dutch

Labriut - hebrew

Saude - portuguese
Deus te crie - popular expression in Brazil, rather old (means, May God take care of you, a Kid).

Borderline interesting:

In Japan, if you sneeze, it means somebody was thinking about you just then.

In "Essays in Idleness" (1330-1332), Kenkō relates an aged nun, questioned for why she was constantly murmuring "kusame", the japanese version of "bless you", saying angrily:

"Don't you know that unless you say the magic word when somebody sneezes, he'll die? The young master I've brought up is an acolyte now on Mount Hiei. He may be sneezing at this very minute, for all I know. That's why I said kusame."

I think last week's multitasking contest was a lot worse than this.

J W:

Maybe these foreign consulates are worried about Andy spreading SARS into their countries. Maybe they're more on the ball than you think.

sean:

haha, I loved the idea. Sri Lanka and the Malays were incredible.
  2:19pm
Raj:

To note a bright spot, with all due respect:

Congoo.com guy, his plug finally pulled....

I think "Congoo" is how a sneeze is addressed in Tanzinia.

Quick tip: Call back, never mention "Congoo.com" again, love will be thrown back at you....Well, 7SD love. I mean, c'mon.

candybeans:
