Budos Band

Hear this show now: RealAudio | Add or read comments

The Budos Band is a dynamic and super-tight young all-instrumental ensemble with roots in Staten Island. Their sound has jazz and 70s funk and soul at the core. But the new album Budos Band II on Daptone Records also shows the influence of 70s Ethiopian music and Afrobeat. The super-sized Budos Band squeezed into WFMU's Studio B for a sizzing live session during the final hour of this show.
