Hey Mac,
Loved the show of 12" recordings. Very sorry about the accident to the Arthur Collins record, I heard it get flung to the floor in the archive playback, it happened to me one time, when I had a copy of Nigger Loves His Possum on a Edison 4 minute black wax, it was in mint condition too ...got to hear it once, rested it on my table after playing it, went to grab the next cylinder to put it on the machine, and my arm brushed against the cylinder I`d just played and it tipped over and broke...and just like you I only got to hear it once!!! so may it rest in place and I hope you someday find another copy on Ebay. Hello Mac, Another great show! Too bad about the Arthur Collins record. Gee I've never done that........ Interesting to hear Jack Norworth actually singing since he was primarily noted as a lyricist. His really big claim to fame which you didn't happen to mention (although I'm sure you know) is that he was the composer of arguably one of the best known songs in American history, "Take Me Out to the Ball Game", written 100 years ago this year, 1908. Interesting sidenote to that song, he had never been to a baseball game. I believe the first recorded version was done by Edward Meeker for Edison records in the same year. Keep the tunes cranking....
