Every show starts with the ’70s! We’ll rediscover forgotten rockers, revisit unfairly maligned disco beats and replay power-pop favorites. Next: plenty of new releases, occasional live bands and more. Don’t let the nickname confuse you.

Richard Benedict:

Evan you made my jaw drop. I thought I'd never hear Long Away from Queen's A Day at the Races unless I bothered to buy the album again. I live in Toronto Canada and I have yet to see a record store where the only Queen albums in the bins are Greatest Hits and maybe A Night At The Opera. Maybe my age is showing but I find that scary. Thanks for making my evening,

Richard

Matt:

Hi Evan. Good show so far!
  11:29pm
monkey:

I'm voting for Evan Funk Davies!!!
  12:43am
cortney:

I went to my class reunion. It was stupid. Really stupid.
  12:46am
Jessica:

Ooh-Fiddle! It's so nice to hear "Crumbs!" uttered on the radio. Kids these days, with their thinking I'm really really old for wielding the epithet, and then making with the Penfold references to assuage their wrinkled-brow consternation. Feh.
  12:50am
Jessica:

Wow. This is beautiful.
  12:54am
efd:

got to hand it to Martin Atkins, the man knows what's what.
  12:55am
monkey:

Evan, will you spin at my bar mitzvah, please?
Mostly punk, but something for the grandparents too.
  12:57am
Jessica:

I'm late to what looks like quite a party, btw, because I was catching up with last night's The Wire. Holy crap. I mean, of course every single scene of every episode is like a master's class in storytelling, with the lyrical acting and all, but sheesh.
  1:07am
montreal:

this candie payne song sounds like United States of America/White Noise
  1:09am
frenchie:

this is a lovely entire show!
  1:20am
efd:

thank you, Frenchie!
Monkey - maybe you can just play one of my archives... that would meet your criteria, right?
Jessica, I am still reeling from that WIre episode. I need to watch it again (as is usually the case).
  1:21am
efd:

oh, and Montreal - thanks for your comment, I will have to check that out.
  1:53am
Jessica:

Mitch Easter is sounding like Phil Judd, of The Swingers.
  1:59am
efd:

The Swingers of "Counting The Beat" fame? Hmm, I'll have to look into that.
Me, I prefer Phil Rudd, of AC/DC.
  1:59am
Matt:

Another great show!
