Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

Please take the time now to e-mail me. I know I'm always clamoring for e-mail but, it does provide me with the psychic nutrition to go forward with the Dusty Show. When I don't hear from anyone, I begin to think nobody gives a damn. I

I know I haven't played many D-SAM calls, but ...

A. I haven't received many.

B. I haven't been able to get up in the D-SAM nook because the music room at WFMU is always in use when I stop by. Honestly, I haven't even plugged the real D-SAM unit yet ... I keep forgetting to bring it with me. And the digital one I have in their now sucks, frankly. Bear with me. I'll get it together. Call the D-SAM anyway!

Another show comes to an end. Thanks a lot for listening. Say, friend. Where are you? Are you listening in New Jersey? New York City? Or, are you located in some far flung place, say ... Hilo, Hawaii or Revello, Italy? Wherever you are, i need to hear from YOU and I mean today! I must say, there has been a dearth of e-mail lately. Once upon a time I was buried beneath sacks of it ... now ... I blow imaginary dust from my inbox. I can only conclude that I suck and that these are the waning days of The Dusty Show. Perhaps it is just as well. Perhaps, as they say, my race is run ... I have jumped the proverbial shark.

Yes, I know all about how last year was so much better, blah blah blah ... maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. The thing is, perhaps it's pathetic, but I live for e-mail. If I don't receive it in bulk, I begin to experience feelings of worthlessness. I break out in shingles. I'm not kidding ... e-mail me

dusty@wfmu.org

I imagine you are getting about as sick as me of this D-Sam crap I keep pushing on you ... The Dusty Show Answering Machine. I mean ... I never play the messages. In fact ... I don't even GET any anymore because I have cried wolf for so long. Here's the deal ... the digital Wal-Martian unit I presently have plugged in sounds like crap. I don't like the word "crap" but, in this instance, I have to say it. My present unit sounds like crap. Now, I have this OTHER unit. A beautiful old analog, classic mini-cassette answering machine, still in the box, freshly obtained from E-BAy ... and I keep forgetting to take it up in the D-Sam Nook at FMU to hook the little sweetheart up! My fault all the way! And yet .,.. I have LIED TO YOU about it with all this talk of the D-SAM and "Getting on the 9", etc. Well ... this needs to be rectified. I must regain honor in this matter. Oh, hell. I'll probably keep flaking.

201-521-1375.

Call the damned thing. Eventually, I'll play you on the show maybe. I will. I love you all. The greatest listeners in the world. Until next time, take care and ... always remember! CP 08
