I thought you were going to cut away just before blast-off, Tony... you know, Ignitus Intertuptus.

"Preparation and Blast Off " sounds a bit like 2001 near the end. Did this come out about that time?

Fascinating, that Novak piece. It has the sub-title of "Seitensprunge beim Studium der Mao-Bibel - roughly "side steps in the study of the Mao Bible". Turns out she was a citizen of the old German Democratic Republic, but lost her citizenship in 1966 due to ... you know the rest. New to me, this one. Tony sure knows how to dig 'em up!
  12:58pm
Cecile:

Hugo:

Ketil Hvoslef - from my home town, son of the classical composer Harald Saeverud. How to pronounce Ketil? I'm not sure whether that sound exists in English at all. For German speakers, the K is pronounced as the "ch" in "ich", the German word for I as in "I am". Confusing? Thought so ...
