My favorite Uncle!
  12:19pm
fishmonkeystew:

You've been raiding my music collection again, haven't you?
  12:23pm
2600:

Maybe not the only radio station in the country with the nerve to play Uncle Meat, but the only one today, I think.

Bravo!
  12:24pm
Patrick in Seattle:

Tony, what a great start to another dreary weekday workday. Keep the good vibes coming.
  12:27pm
Cecile:

oh....the gong. I know it's serious fusion now - no turning back!
  12:28pm
Tom:

Zappa must say is THE man when comes to early 70's so called Prog-Jazz - and I do miss the old WRVR back then .. too in NY
  12:36pm
frenchee:

oh Tony!
this is great. But...not even a little Al Dimeola? Too accessible?
  12:40pm
Tony Coulter:

Nope, Frenchee ... no Al Dimeola. Hey, I'm not even going to play Hatfield & the North....
  12:41pm
herr noiser:

why the fusionfest? not knocking it and very glad for the workweek prog (especially if it includes Magma)...just curious if there's a reason (there need be none of course)
  12:42pm
herr noiser:

DiMeola? I could've stomached a bit of Return To Forever "Where Have I Known You Before"...
  12:42pm
frenchee:

It's brilliant. Love how the Fender keyboard slices right thru the nerves in my brain.
  12:43pm
Tony Coulter:

No reason, Herr Noiser. Just something special to kick off my new slot....
  12:45pm
herr noiser:

sold (and much obliged). shine on...
  12:47pm
Bad Ronald:

Wow Tony, I see you've become more involved with the comments. I'm digging the set. thanks.
  12:58pm
Tony Coulter:

It's easier to be involved in comments when you're playing 10-minute cuts!
  12:59pm
Dan:

Play something that's under a minute.
  12:59pm
Cecile:

heh, I was going to say that!

But hurray for the comments section and online playlist, Tony.
  1:34pm
Bad Ronald:

ZAPPA Two-fer Twosday!!
  1:35pm
corpsicle:

One band carrying the prog-metal tradition nowadays is Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, check them out
  1:48pm
Cubicle Carl:

You're listening to Tony C. on prog ninety one one.
  2:11pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

sounds a little like Al DiMeola's "Race with the Devil" song...
  2:13pm
gossamere:

Battles has some cool proggy grooves too
  2:24pm
Sasha:

VIOLA CRAYOLA! What a bend. Thanks Tony. Greetings from Macedonia.
.
  2:24pm
?:

Thanx for the music Tony, the B Side from Argentina loves you... do you have some Materia Gris or La Banda del Oeste records?
  2:26pm
Tony Coulter:

Hello Mr. ?,

Don't know either Materia Gris or La Banda del Oeste, I'm afraid....
  2:27pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

isn't this a no girls allowed prog club?
  2:32pm
Cubicle Carl:

Come to think of it, I've never had a fusion/prog discussion with any females...ever...save for one time when a girlfriend asked "a fusion of what?". She didn't wait for my answer.
  2:32pm
Anonymous Coward:

That's a clever way to meet girls worth meeting if you are a single radio DJ.
  2:34pm
Tom:

It's been years since I heard that much fusion in 3 hours. Thanks... I'm having a good time.
  2:41pm
Pivi:

Ey Tony.. Love the tunes you play here..
Do you have some really old (by that I mean before 60's) progrock?

I just bought a Caravan cd, didnt someone from that group join Soft Machine?

Greets from norway!
  2:42pm
Cecile:

This girl had to leave for a while. I appreciate the prog, but after an hour, I felt like I ate a whole pie by myself. A little rich for my blood.

much love to the progsters, though!
  2:44pm
IntangibleArts:

just tuned in.... and missed The Muffins?!?! Waah, I say!
  2:46pm
Tony Coulter:

Hi Pivi. I'm sticking to the '70s fusion prog today ... But in the future, there will be plenty of '60s prog on hand ... (the less-fattening kind, Cecile)
  2:48pm
Cecile:

LOL, tony! Thanks...

Now, I'm going to lay down and have a "prog nap".
  2:50pm
Pivi:

Tony, do you have a couple of band-names I should listen to from the 60s?
  2:52pm
Tony Coulter:

Well, that's hard to answer on the fly, Pivi. But stay tuned during the weeks to come.... (or drop me an email)
