I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

2 nice tracks to start off the show....
  12:21pm
jeanine:

is that an electric bassoon?
  12:23pm
AKinCLE:

"Silver Cycles"=beautiful stuff. I recently moved apartments, and set up my record shelves, which are Gorilla metal and wood shelves, and made "faceout" displays of record jackets to cover up the spines, at my wife's request, and one shelf features "Frank," "Fred" & "Melvin"...Frank Chickens, Fred Frith 1st "Guitar Solos" LP, Fred & the New J.B.'s, and Melvin Jackson.
  12:26pm
bb:

youngs plays all sorts of woodwinds, often with electronic treatments...this is probably a bass clarinet.
  12:29pm
Parq:

Not sure why, but I'm a total sucker for the sound of a bass clarinet. Thanks for that.
  12:32pm
bryce:

  1:22pm
Hugo:

That was actually Karin Krog off the "Baden Baden Free Jazz Meeting" record doing "For My Two J.Bs", one being Johs. Bergh, her husband and the other Joachim Berendt, the organiser of the entire event (and many others). Just filling in the facts here, folks.

and there's always room for some more Takehisa Kosugi ...
  1:33pm

  2:29pm
bryce:

  2:29pm
Ike:

If there's a harvest then I'm the one getting harvested. She sometimes reminds all of us, totally unprompted, and in a threatening tone, "I could totally take you."
  2:32pm
bryce:

SHE gets the first bananas foster.
  2:33pm
gumby:

Maybe she's and aggressive dater,
  2:41pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Sorry I missed the questions/comments of DC Pat and Bryce. I was taking a bath and eating lunch.

DC Pat: I'm totally digging Montgomery's Cheddar these days. The BEST cheddar in the world; from Somerset, England of course.

Bryce: I visited Murray's the other day. My friends are still there. Yay for sewing St. Andre into your ventricles. Goodness, that sounds almost perverted... heh heh. Most things do with me.

If you like St. Andre, there are far better triple-cremes out there, guys!
  2:42pm
dc pat:

go see the Ex and Mekuria. Go, go go gogogogog. YOU WILL NOT WANT PEOPLE TELLING YOU ABOUT THIS IF YOU MISS IT.
  2:43pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

I'm going to see The Ex and company on Wednesday. Looking forward to it! DC Pat, why not come up from DC to see it?!
  2:43pm
dc pat:

alright, Wendy, lay those "far better triple-cremes" on us..
  2:43pm
bryce:

S E R I O U S L Y .

  2:44pm
dc pat:

I saw them on Wednesday and was going to go to B-more to see them last night...but ...kids and I'd like to come up to NY but...kids....
  2:44pm
north guinea hills:

damn, missed pierre henry when i went out for lunch
  2:44pm
bryce:

Getatchew Mekurya will being playing with a nice brillat-savarin....
  2:45pm
matt:

I'm really digging Tempo Liquido 1.

My co-workers are not, but that's not my problem!
  2:46pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Awright. Well, if you can find it, Champlain Creamery's aptly named "Triple-Creme" kicks ass. It's from VT, of course.

I like a nice Brillat-Savarin. Good call, Bryce!

Also, La Tur from the Italian Piedmonts. Not only is it a triple-creme, but it's a tre latte (cow, sheep and goat milk blend). It also kicks ass.

I find St Andre to be a little too mass-produced these days, but that's why they call me Tha' Cheese Snob.
  2:50pm
C:

there's a place called cowgirl creamery near me that's supposed to be great for cheese. have you heard of it wendy? is it the real deal?
  2:51pm
north guinea hills:

holy kashmirikovs bryce! this kubisch & plessi rocks! ok, i'm getting out of work early to catch a disco nap before i see the rhys chatham thingeymagiggity. might stay around for the first 15 of billy.........
  2:51pm
gumby:

Just cleared the EX show with the better half and am looking forward to making War cries with drunken Ethiopians
  2:52pm
Parq:

"Tempo Liquido" should be lulling all adversarial coworkers into a harmless stupor. I am thinking of buying the CD and playing it when people come in to annoy me.
  2:53pm
dc pat:

nice, thanks Wendy.

On Wednesday, half way through the Ex/Mekuria show, an Ethiopian woman leaned on my spouse and breathily said "thiss iss Ethiopian blues.." And that was just when Terrie and Andy jumped in front of the stage and let loose a wall of Dutch noise.
  2:54pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Hello C - yup, the cowgirls make some fine fromage. in fact, their Mt. Tam is another fine triple-creme. as is their Red Hawk, and it's a triple-creme washed-rind. unique!
  2:54pm
north guinea hills:

Parq, I've driven roommates to move out based on the music I play.....
(current roommates don't mind....)
  2:55pm
dc pat:

{...I guess Andy is really Scottish?)
  2:57pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

DC Pat, that's a great story. Now I have even more to look forward to on Wednesday. Dutch Wall Of Noise and Inebriated, Overly Friendly Ethiopians. Hell yeah! I'm bringing an Italian and an English friend, so it'll be totally international.
  2:57pm
C:

Awesome. Thanks Wendy. Looks like I've got quite a Friday night coming up. Mt. Tam + red wine + Pseu Braun (with hopefully some Bryce banter)
  2:58pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

OK, this Cheese Princess has to go to town to get my Mom a birthday gift. It was nice chatting with you all, and see (some of) you on Wednesday. Enjoy your day everybody! And thanks for the great show, Bryce! :-)
  2:59pm
bryce:

have technically perfect weeks. please remember it IS okay to kill.
  3:00pm
dc pat:

Thanks Ms. del Formaggio, have fun.
  3:03pm
matt:
