Listener comments!

  3:18pm
Kyle:

Too bad I am not home, Monticello is only about 35 minutes from my house. I would love to see this extravaganza.
  3:20pm
Laurie:

Good afternoon, Gaylord and Pseuperpower Pseu.
  3:21pm
Therese:

Can I just say that I'm as excited for the Pseu/Gaylord banter as I am for any of the bands? Because it's the truth!
  3:22pm
Laurie:

Therese, I think I agree. And that's saying a lot considering the fact that I'm waaaaaay more excited for today's line-up than I was yesterday's.
  3:22pm
Laurie:

I think you guys should interview fellas with handlebar mustaches.
  3:23pm
rob:

what was the song played at the beginning of the show? Eric Bomberg, Momberg? Anyone know?
  3:25pm
Pete in LA:

Holding the fort down here in JC good - REAL good!

Heya Rob - it was Eric Malmberg - Jagef, from the "Den gatfulla manmiskan" album. Say that fifty times fast!
  3:37pm
Gaylord Fields:

Pete in LA,

They were real, and they were spectacualr(ly wasted at 3pm).
  3:39pm
Laurie:

Are they playing my favorites? I think they are. Tell them to play "Any Several Sundays," Pseu!
  3:40pm
Eddie:

Yeah! Somebody yell for the Lilys to play "Any Several Sundays" and something from In The Presence of Nothing, though this looks like a mod fest
  3:40pm
rob:

thanks. great track and it's on iTunes
  3:43pm
Eddie:

Hell, somebody yell for new songs, that's what I want to hear!
  3:44pm
Pete in LA:

Pseu is stalking ANNton, is she not?
  3:54pm
Laurie:

I like it when bands count it off. 5! 6! 7! 8! It's very A Chorus Line.
  3:59pm
Gaylord Fields:

If by stalking you mean Pseu and Anton are stalking each other's tonsils -- wait, i've said too much already.
  4:26pm
Irving:

colin blunstone is amazing....nice ref
  4:28pm
Laurie:

Dhani Harrison is a fox.
  4:31pm
Irving:

ohhh Kurt...
  4:33pm
Laurie:

Thank you, Kurt, for saying butthole instead of asshole.
  4:35pm
Ken:

Liz or anybody who is dealing with this playlist from ATP: be sure to click "extended songs" from the playlist info so that this playlist doesn't disappear from the homepage.

  6:21pm

"Cheers" to the Rev and WFMU - this is fantastiic, from an ocean away.
  6:22pm
Laurie:

That song was beautiful. I'm glad they played that before they cut away for Spectrum.
  6:26pm
KM:

I was worried too that they'd cut from The Dark is Rising, but so happy they didn't as it was my highlight of this weekend so far..
  6:27pm
Iain:

Hey Laurie! Did you ever find proof of the T-Shirt band?
  6:31pm
Tim W:

  6:55pm
Iain:

Nice fill man! Are they tuning a harp? :) And did he mention Mogwai at all?
  6:56pm
Liz B.:

Spectrum was over at least 7 min ago
  6:57pm
Gabriel:

Thanks... it sounded like you faded out of Spectrum just to yakk about YLT. Well... bring em on!!!
  6:58pm
sugarwolf:

There was a funny article in the local paper today about how polite and well-mannered the ATP audience is.

I bought a vintage Kutsher's postcard this weekend.
  7:00pm
Liz B.:

Yeah, we faded the last 30-60 seconds of Spectrum, so apologies for that, but we didn't want to cut off YLT. Only 2 members of Spectrum were left on stage when we switched so it was pretty much over.
  7:02pm
Laurie:

Tell them to play "Cherry Chapstick," Gaylord.
  7:04pm
Gabriel:

Liz B. - Sorry to sound rude. I'm across the country in Sacramento and LOVE the fact that you are broadcasting this great music for all (including me) to enjoy. Thanks for all your hard work at WFMU and keep up all the great music. You guys truly inspire this former KDVS DJ.
  7:05pm
Iain:

After Laurie's request, please get them to choose to play "Lot G" or "Madeline"! ;)
  7:06pm
james pee:

it got a little quiter after the station ID. Turn it back up, please!

It's so great ya'll are doing this. One Love from Birmingham, Alabama!
  7:06pm
Liz B.:

No worries Gabriel, we just don't want you to think that we're depriving you! Lots going on, so it's hard to fit in everything (plus some stuff is running on rock and roll time...)
  7:08pm

  7:35pm
Nick:

Whatever you guys do, PLEASE don't cut away from this set...
  7:37pm
Laurie:

Gaylord said they will be broadcasting this set in its entirety. He also said he does not lie. The man can only speak the truth, it's true.

Also, I love this song.... oh my god. Just as I typed that, the stream popped. Okay, it's fine again.
  7:46pm

  7:55pm
Nick:

Ms. Liz, will you guys be streaming Mogwai now?
  7:56pm
Iain:

Hey! We're nice!!! And did Gaylord call us Scots unwashed Hell's Angels?
  7:58pm
hecky:

Wow, that'd be cool--a 20 min. version of Steppenwolf's 'Born To Be Wild' done by Mogwai, on behalf of their roadies.
  7:59pm
Liz B.:

We didn't get permission from Mogwai to broadcast their set, sorry.
  7:59pm
Linda:

Hi Gaylord!!!!!!!
Linda
  8:00pm
Parq:

Liz, doll! Great to hear you on mike.
  8:00pm
KM:

Love Mogwai but boo to them for not letting you broadcast. That would have been great to hear.
  8:01pm
Gaylord Fields:

Linda!!! I love you as much as a well-scrubbed non-biker Scotsman!
  8:01pm
james pee:

Any chance the fates will bring us MBV?
  8:01pm
Iain:

Boo to Mogwai! Celtic fans, by the way....;)
  8:02pm
Iain:

Haha, that would be me then, Gaylord!
  8:03pm
Gaylord Fields:

Iain,

How can i not love a nation that produced Harry Lauder?
  8:04pm
KM:

Nothing wrong with that! come on celtic tomorrow...well today now
  8:06pm
Liz B.:

Not much of a chance for broadcasting MBV, we would need a christmas miracle at the 11th hour. Unless someone knows the Jedi mind trick, that is...
  8:07pm
poops:

what is playing?
  8:08pm
Nick:

I'm sure MBV would also break some "acceptable noise level" FCC rules or some such shit as well...
  8:10pm
poop:

what was playing when poops asked whats playing
  8:11pm
KM:

Yeah can we get these songs on the playlist too?
  8:12pm
Iain:

Haha - Harry lauded as a cultural icon in 2008. Nice one Sir!

In a gesture of friendship, km, Celtic won 3-1 today. 2nd place in the league :)

Seconds on the playlist request Linda - I know this tune, can't think who it is.
  8:14pm
KM:

  8:16pm
Therese:

  8:46pm
frenchee:

  8:46pm
Laurie:

I took my mom to see Gilberto Gil here in Miami for her birthday this year. She loooooooooved it. It was his Broadband tour. He encouraged everyone to record the show and remix it if they so desired and upload their remixes online, along with any videos or pictures they took. I thought that was kind of cool.
  8:48pm
Larry:

Who was behind that new wave song?
  8:51pm
Laurie:

GOOD NEWS: The Colbert Report just won an Emmy.
  8:52pm
Doctor B.:

Whose version of "Hello, hello" (the old Sopwith Camel tune) is that that you're playing?

  8:57pm
spamgie:

  10:00pm
oadie:

Not so great that Mould's voice is twice as loud as anything else in the mix.
  10:01pm
Laurie:

Wooooooooo. "New Day Rising." Almost makes up for the fact that Kevin Shields won't let y'all broadcast MBV.
  10:03pm

  10:15pm
Laurie:

Oh, Jason Narducci.

  11:06pm
pinklentil:

  11:07pm
Tommy:

Is Dinosaur Jr.'s tardiness going to affect the BJM broadcast? I'm curious to hear if they are as poorly prepared, incoherent, and drugged up as they were at the Williamsburg gig on Friday.
  11:07pm
Laurie:

YES! I also love this song! <33333
  11:07pm
