Doug: could you play something to commemorate Sarah Palin's role in the Christian fight against African witchcraft (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwkb9_zB2Pg)? I'm pretty confident that you have something appropriate at hand.
  9:29am Cecile:

  9:30am Cecile:

Heh. I still laugh when I'm in Western Pennsyltucky and see the "Moon/Beaver" exit.

  10:48am Hugo:

Bryce can do it!

(and I would vote for Obama if I could - but alas, in the wrong place for that - so moral support, for what it's worth)
  10:49am David:

  10:55am Doug:

  11:00am Doug:

Cecile,
The Apryl Fool are Japanese! See here:

  11:00am Cecile:

Wow!!!!
Thanks!
  11:09am Parq:

Hugo, over on this side of the pond, we're worried about people here who want to vote for Obama but can't. Let's just say that there are elements here who prefer to serve their electoral fairness a little al dente.
  11:12am jesse:

Isn't this Ros Sereysothea?
  11:13am Brian Sanders:

I may be a bit slow out of the traps on this side of the Atlantic but Earl Palmer passed recently. That's a case for giving the drummer some in my book.
  11:15am Doug:

WOW, very impressive Jesse! Quite a few tracks on this comp have been subsequently ID'd as by Ros Sereysothea, but this isn't one of them. So who knows.
  11:17am Doug:

Brian,
Dave the Spazz did an Earl Parlmer tribute show last night. Check out the archive!
  11:17am Hugo:

On the subject of Japanese psych, here's one acquired on vinyl just now:

http://www.forcedexposure.com/artists/flower.travellin.band.html

(no. 2 from the top)

parq: yep, I know ...

Gosh, Thai ... brings back memories ...
  11:17am GP:

Doug...love this Thai Pop..was just thinking about this earlier today...and now here it is...shaping up to be a great Friday.
A good morning to everyone.
  11:18am jesse:

the same song (different version) appeared on cambodian rocks 3, on the khmerrocks label (much better documentation on these releases). They called it "Old Sweet and Sour" and credited it to Sereysothea
  11:18am Parq:

Brian, I don't in any way want to discourage Doug from playing some Earl if he's inclined to, but you NEED to go to the archives and listen to last night's Music to Spazz By. Dave the S, the JS Bach of tribute shows, did a superb multi-hour Earl retrospective.
  11:19am Parq:

Sorry to be redundant of you, Doug.
  11:21am El Thatchmo...:

I can smell the smell of the Double Lion brand burning as I listen to this SE Aisian set!
  11:22am Brian:

Parq

Stray women in the street
I don't know, but I feel like someone shoudl be

  11:43am Cecile:

wow, Sigmund Freud was a busy songwriter!
  11:48am Brian:

Is it right that Monica is back for the new season? It only gets better. No offence, Doug
  11:54am Parq:

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that Lula Reed track sounds like Congress?
  11:54am Hugo:

These last selections are definitely Monica'ish ...
  12:02pm Hugo:

Aaah, all that's needed is just changing the cd ...
  3:16pm mike tp:
