Listener comments!

  8:02pm
Yo:

Hey hey!
  8:19pm
Tom( The Bactrian Support NewWork ):

OHHH I'm diggin this early 70's soul before Disco Killed it !!! \:D/ \:D/ \:D/
  8:22pm
Tom( The Bactrian Support NewWork ):

OOOOHHH The Parliaments !!!! Like George Clinton once said, "Disco is like making Love with one stroke ."" HAHA !!!! you gettin DOWWWWWWWN yet Pseu !!
  8:57pm
john:

Well, I'm here and prepared to comment, for what little that's worth, but have nothing either clever or disarming to say tonight, which I'm putting down to a slight indisposition. I may have to owe you one. Diggin' the boss platters, anyway. Oh hey, wasn't that opening riff the same as The Jam's In The City?
  8:59pm
pseu:

well tough to know who stole from who -- both 77 i think? where's the posse you usually bring?
  9:01pm
Laurie:

Hiiiiiii Pseu. By the by, I have my listener hour tomorrow morning. Then I will be seeing Harry Potter's magic wand in Equus. Equus ends at 4:30 :(
  9:01pm
john:

And a Sex Pistols song too. Holidays In The Sun, maybe?

I have a posse? No wonder there's only leftovers when i get to the kitchen.
  9:02pm
john:

Ooooh, you're doing a listener hour, Laurie? Cool beans, I always wanted to do one but have been way too lazy to look into how. Dammit, I'll be driving in to the city (insert riff here) for my nephew's fourth birthday party at listener hour time.
  9:05pm
john:

See, now I'm commenting too much. J'adore France Gall. Ohh la la.

I'll stop now.
  9:08pm
pseu:

HIII LAURIE
Don't stop John, don't don't stop ....
  9:27pm
john:

Ahh, how I've longed to hear those words...and over the creation, yet.
  9:33pm
pseu:

no creation, thank you...
  9:34pm
john:

Successfully avoided for decades, to be sure.
  9:43pm
conor:

Hi Pseu! Joe- I'm gonna tell Bob you blew off work to buy records. He thinks FMU is a cult.
  9:50pm
john:

So noted, oppression-wise.

Oh, and I have a very amusing and almost certainly apocryphal story about Bette Davis and Alice Cooper. I love the 1970s.
  9:55pm
Jessica:

It kind of *sounded* like a vinyl-authenticity check but as I recally they used to miss that very same beat, back at Turk St. Studios.
  10:01pm
Jessica:

I bet their Budgie record skipped.

What a crazy stupendous set! I'm not quite over that Two Dollar Question track, yet. And now, holy heck: rarified essence of 1977[?]! I want to dab it behind my ears.
  10:10pm
epc:

We are having way too much fun listing to you all tonight. We just had to let you know.
  10:11pm
epc:

Yes, we are tipping too and fro.
  10:12pm
pseu:

thank you to Joe who is tastefully feeling this set like a leather glove ......
  10:17pm
Jessica:

omg, it just does not stop. yaay!
  10:21pm
fatty jubbo:

I love this flipper song. it blew me away when I first heard it on the radio. I sometimes recite the lyrics when I'm walking down the street...muttering to myself.
  10:25pm
Jessica:

I can't stop tapping my foot. And I kind of broke some metatarsals, see, at this party in New Orleans, last weekend. I told my MD I did it bolting bookcases to my office walls while healing from hand surgery - it could have been, and it sounds like a fine Darwinian sorting mechanism, proving that feet are not made for handjobs [rimshot!] - but I think it could have easily been a tragic foot-tapping accident.
  10:26pm
john:

Then they'd have been footjobs and the history of mankind would be vastly different.
  10:26pm
Jessica:

(I'm just doing this to dilute the comment pool, so John will come back and tell his Davis vs. Cooper story.)
  10:27pm
will:

wow hadn't heard brainwash in a looong time ... that was a high school catchphrase for me
  10:27pm
Jessica:

ohai
  10:27pm
john:

No, do go on. I like your stories better than mine.
  10:30pm
john:

It's the mutes on the trumpets that make this rawk.
  10:33pm
Jessica:

So hard not to dance to this. Argh.
Stories omitted 'cause I'm in such a good mood, but I've got a theme and a 1000-word-proxy for you: Flipper, roomates, '80s. http://tinyurl.com/6qenog
  10:36pm
john:

See, your stories are so better than mine.
  10:44pm
Jessica:

Pish.
Tonight I kill a hamburger. Ciao!
  10:45pm
john:

Where do you go that serves live hamburgers?
  10:59pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

Nice finish. I didn't hear much of tonight's show, but what I heard, I liked.
  2:34am
steveroo:

i couldn't catch your show in real time so i'm listening to the arcives now.... you really know how to lay down the tracks pseu loving the sets
  12:26am
PSS:

I love randomly searching a song and listening to a set it was in. This one was amazing. Searched Templeton Twins - Light My Fire.
