Annie, way dowm here on the south coast we rarely catch the siberian snows, but there have been gorgeous toy-story cloud sunsets with faint whisps of purple and mauve candy-floss out at sea!

When it has not been miserable, that is.
Apols for non meteorlogy speak.
Sniff sniff.
  12:29pm
annie:

  12:55pm
Stoned Mellotron:

I havnt' really been listening to WFMU for a while. it was too hard after Tony left. Also my list of music I needed from listening to a few shows kept me going for a month. Now i'm back and what a special surprise to see your on this afternoon! thanks for the amazing music! Tony, do you have a list of must have records?
  12:57pm
Yvan:

Hello Tony ! I always love your shows. I'm listening from France. Antoine is a well known ex-singer of the sixties who now earns money withTV commercials about glasses! I didnt even know this song. He has only two hits : "Les elucubrations" and another one... You make me discover so many old nice french songs!
  12:58pm
Sean Daily:

Not even close to first comment! Woo hoo!
  1:00pm
Negator:

Thanks for the tip, Ike. No, I didn't know he had a show.

Hey Tony, did you ever hear/play Four Way Anal Touchfight?
  1:21pm
Tony C:

Nope, Bad Ronald -- haven't had the pleasure!

And, Stoned Mellotron, I don't have a list of essential faves -- there's just so much great stuff out there....
  1:25pm
Bad Ronald:

I ask cause they seem up your alley, so to speak. You can check them out here:

http://www.4wat.com/

Funny stuff!
  1:36pm
Mike A:

The title of the Puritan Guitars track refers to the cost and amount of time it took them to record the record. The picture sleeve, such as it is, details the costs.
  1:43pm
cosmic:

people!! how are you!? HOW THE HELL ARE YOU?
hey tony, ive been at a discussion meeting for those of us hooked on rhinocerous fork, i stayed til the break and stole the coffee jar, drank the whole jar without adding water as i ran out the hall and now im back!! yeeeah baby!!
  1:47pm
paulthepostman:

cosmic -- Hunter S would be proud of you...!
  1:47pm

  1:57pm
paulthepostman:

  2:02pm
Bad Ronald:

Where the riots were in the 60's?
  2:03pm
cosmic:

i cant take this no more. i got an addiction to sugar problem. i see it need it want it steal it. eat it. steal it. sex with it. violate with it. if i try and stop i get the biggest hangover. my head feels like a forrest fire and im heavy, you know? like a lead motherfucker.

once i started trying to get the high off of fruit. i ate so fucking many fucking bananas. and strawberries. and them fucking kiwi fruits. i couldnt leave the house! i needed a crap every time my speeding heart did a flimsy beat..
  2:06pm
cosmic:

i know brighton! i had a hell of a night there once.
whats that town down the coast with the art deco building on the promenade?
  2:06pm
paulthepostman:

BR - that was Paris, close.

only jokin.

btw 'up your alley' sounds very much an english euphamism?
  2:08pm
cosmic:

are the ocean rooms still there?
  2:10pm
Bad Ronald:

I thought parts of Quadrophenia were filmed in Brighton.
  2:14pm
cosmic:

parts of a girl i used to date were filmed in brighton
  2:15pm
paulthepostman:

cosmic -- the delaware pavillion? Bexhill, no thats more bauhause (apols). um yeah ocean rooms , just behind the art college.

BR -- of course, the best bits...
  2:15pm
cosmic:

sorry im being horrid tonight. ill stop.
  2:17pm
GP:

Cosmic, cut out the carbs...this means any and ALL forms of bread. Bananas as a fruit are the worst. The headaches you get are actually FROM the sugar. You will get over the craving in about three days. Disregard all of this if you are diabetic...see your doctor for best advice..etc. ad nauseum. over and out
  2:17pm
cosmic:

yeah youre right, thats it bexhill. like a le coubusier eh? but not. amazing building.
  2:19pm
paulthepostman:

missed tricky there 2 months back...their exhibitions are superlative
  2:20pm
cosmic:

it was just there in this little town. you walk round a corner and theres this beautifull building
  2:21pm
Todd 76%:

John Nash's Brighton Pavillion blew my 14 year-old mind...now I'm am architect, partially because of a family vaca in the UK.
  2:22pm
cosmic:

tricky?! no way.
  2:24pm
GP:

Todd 76..what kind of architecture do you do, commercial or residential? I'm trying to get licensed myself.
  2:26pm
cosmic:

good move todd! yeah what kind do you do?

thanks for the advice GP. are you a doctor?
  2:26pm
cosmic:

ptp im in cornwall
  2:27pm
paulthepostman:

John Nash's Brighton Pavillion def worth a look at online. T76% She's still well kept and a trip
  2:29pm
GP:

No..no doctor. I was a paramedic for about 6 years, But my SO, she just lost about 35 lbs in about 4 months by avoiding just about any kind of carbs and not really following any fad diet or anything..
  2:32pm
?:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Brighton_Banqueting_Room_Nash_edited.jpg
...and that IS a dragon atop the chandelier
  2:34pm
Ike:

I can't stand the anti-carb craze. I tried a low-carb diet for about 10 days as an experiment. Result: no energy. Also, that diet often promotes heavy meat consumption, destroying the environment. I minimize that stuff. Your mileage may vary.
  2:35pm
Parq:

Whoa - Sherman, set the wayback machine for 1970, when a (very) young guitar player first learned "On the Road Again".
  2:35pm
paulthepostman:

1969 No Way!
  2:39pm
paulthepostman:

cosmic -- cornish lass or grokel?!
  2:39pm
GP:

Ike..I can't argue with that, thats what I meant when I suggested anyone who wants to try a radical change to check with their doctor first. Not every eating style is right for everyone.

Tony...this Blued Eyed SOul song is extra trippy...cool.
  2:43pm
listening john:

man i have never heard 99% of the stuff you are playing, it is all great!
  2:46pm
paulthepostman:

1967 No Way!
  2:47pm

  2:51pm
paulthepostman:

I'm hyperglysemic too
  2:52pm
Parq:

Guys, excuse me. I have this sudden urge to make a macrame God's-eye.
  2:52pm
paulthepostman:

and dyslexic
  2:53pm
GP:

I hear you Cosmic..I go though a tin of Altoids in about two days...bag or licorice in about 10 minutes! Don't know what else to tell you..except to go get checked out by a doc to make sure your sugar levels are o.k.
I know when I was at school, I also could not get enough sugar!
  2:54pm
cosmic:

no probs. its not like my name gives it away. but looking back with my comment about me sexing with sugar products, if i wasnt me, i wouldve asked!
  2:56pm
GP:

LOL Parq..or howabout a sand-candle, or some decoupage.
YOu can always airbrush a wizard onto the side of your van!
  2:58pm
