You picked a great theme for this one, ducky. Tons of great train songs to choose from! You could do six shows whith this type of material to work with. Which version of "'97" are you doing? Loved the Tom Waits too! (Oh, and give Bosco and Jeff a pat on the head for me.)

Yes, thanks, Jon (even though I don't know you.) I'm here to harass and annoy for the duration though, Meg. Much of the usual VKR lineup didn't show today due to the weather conditions. I NEED my Friday fix of great tunes!

Sat. 12/20/08 3:55am From: Chuck

Could you email me the link to your podcast again? I seem to have lost it. Also, what further possible themes are lurking in your demented mind? Could turn out to be quite interesting.

Sat. 12/20/08 3:56am From: Meghan

Yeah... it's in the archive page too... you can look up my name. But I will totally email out a link to you

Sat. 12/20/08 4:15am From: Chuck

Well, that only answers the first question not the second. OK, whatever. I am recording this show, just so you know. And I'm sort of fading. Don't know if I'll be conscious for the finish. Which is why I was recording it.

Sat. 12/20/08 4:18am From: Meghan

ahhh the rockin' set isn't keeping you awake? HA! I will email you some of the upcoming ones I am playing with... I got a bunch. A book full actually

Sat. 12/20/08 4:23am From: Chuck

OK, that's it! You just inadvertly challenged me to a duel! You will NEVER get the better of me "WHITEY"! Now I have to stay awake to hear the "'97"!

Sat. 12/20/08 4:25am From: Meghan

Then you are staying until the end! Wow... i didn't know I had that power of challenging without a challenge!

Sat. 12/20/08 4:35am From: Chuck

A simple sarcastic comment is sometimes enough. (Even if you didn't really mean it that way.) A "HA!" is more powerful than you think.

Sat. 12/20/08 4:46am From: Chuck

Hank Williams! Totally cool!!!

Sat. 12/20/08 4:47am From: Meghan

Yeah... to match the last show you did.... some oldies but GOOD country!

Sat. 12/20/08 4:49am From: Chuck

PATSY Too! You guys are awesome!

Sat. 12/20/08 4:52am From: Chuck

I'm so glad that I am recording this! I love G;adys also.

Sat. 12/20/08 5:04am From: andy in berlin

you could probably do a whole show just on Orange Blossom special. I once saw Roy Acuff on tv and they asked him to do OBS and he said he couldn't because he got his teeth fixed and couldn't make the sound of the whistle anymore

Sat. 12/20/08 5:07am From: Dickdong

Are you talking over Honkey Tonk Train Blues by Meade Lux Lewis?
It's ok 'cos I've got it on 78 and can listen anytime.

Sat. 12/20/08 5:07am From: Ken

Hi Meghan! Sounding good! How about some Route 80 Rest Stop songs?

Sat. 12/20/08 5:10am From: Meghan

Very interesting about Roy Acuff... poor guy! And yes Dickdong... that was. Ken- I don't know Route 80 Rest Stop songs... very intrigued now

Sat. 12/20/08 5:44am From: Colm

Sat. 12/20/08 5:45am From: Meghan
