A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

  10:54am
Parq:

Miss T, blog it! I just made my second risotto, and it's still not ready for prime time. I could use some tips.
  10:54am
owen:

wow. i never realised jamie oliver had made it over to america. is he famous?
  10:59am
trouble:

my biggest tip is don't stir it constantly. add a ladle of broth and then stir and wait two minutes ( keeping an eye on the rice so it doesn't dry out ) before stirring it again. this method is so easy. i set a timer for two minutes.
  11:02am
GP:

Trouble, please post the recipe....this Barbara M stuff is wonderful.
  11:11am
dc pat:

I make an excellent fava bean risotto. Amazing
  11:12am

For all the cooks out there, I got an awesome cookbook/travelouge for Christmas that I can't recommend highly enough. "Beyond the Great Wall". Everything I've made has been good and not too difficult or involved. Plus, the travel writing and photos are wonderful as well.
  11:20am
elvie:

can anyone recommend a book about how to manage a proper vegetarian diet?
  11:21am
cyrille:

Thanks for the song!! Have a nice day!
Bisous from france
  11:21am
annie:

start from the beginning... "how to raise your child as a vegetarian"
  11:22am
Sean Daily:

Not even close to first comment! Woo hoo!
  11:23am
dc pat:

Being a veggie is easy--just eat. Are you worried about protien?
  11:25am
dc pat:

I basically cook like a meat eater but just take the meat out. Substitute veggie stock a lot, eat a lot of beans and brown rice. But cheese will give you all the protein you need.
  11:27am
trouble:

bonjour France!
  11:28am

it was getting boring in my work room
