Sean Daily:

DC PAAAAAAT! My show! MY SHOW! (rolling up a newspaper) BAD dc pat! Bad bad BAD dc pat! We don't do that in the house, do we! No we don't!

Anyway... First comment after dc pat's comment! ON MY SHOW, NO LESS! Woo hoo!

Oh dear, my ego is swelling to dangerous proportions. I need a beatdown from Irwin but bad right now...
  1/16 3:07pm
dc pat:

sorry...I couldn't resist....
  1/16 3:10pm
north guinea hills:

hoo woo???!
  1/16 3:11pm
Sean Daily:

'Scool, man. Or ma'am. The comment boards are kind of genderless.

Oh, and... first comment after MY first comment and dc pat's two comments and ngh's comment! Woo hoo!
  1/16 3:35pm
north guinea hills:

sean, if you have any ideas for campy mexican themed songs, send them my way. i like ribbing my gf w/ the gaucheness of mexican culture every chance i can get (she's mexican). just like she enjoys making fun of my Southern background....
  1/16 3:37pm
north guinea hills:

i can't remember any of the plots of 'fantasy island', just the opening theme when my parents watched it.....
  1/16 4:40pm
Sean Daily:

I'd say anything from an El Santo movie, to start. I've only seen one, and it was a long time ago. But they were done on the ultra-cheap. They've got to have some memorable music.
  1/16 4:43pm
north guinea hills:

ha, i've only seen el santo via MST3K.
  1/16 4:58pm
Sean Daily:

Funny, NGH. So have I.
  1/17 6:07pm
Jessica:

This rocks so hard. Can't wait to jack the archive!
  1/17 9:51pm
Bim Scanlon:

I think that the correlation between the various Celtic musical forms all meld into one (or is it four) via the Vince Mack Mahon pedigree which is not to say that the work of Synge - as in Edmund John Millington Synge - whose chair I once sat in on Inish Meain in the Aran Islands whilst wearing, not an Aran sweater, but a Run DMC hoodie.......is not to be recuperated via lost lottery tickets in the south of Spain....ya smelll me? Or are me thoughts way over yer head or under the radar? Or DJ Radar? Or is it that Yay Area band UDI - Unda Da Influence? Or the Third Policeman? Where's me bike? Where's me jumper? Do you know Bono? What's he like? Scuse me while I kiss the Sky network television set as me lips get stuck to da set......set trippin' body dippin' - Don't be trippin'
  1/21 5:13am
Maria Daily (Sean's auntie):

thank you for the love for Sean. He is the best nephew I have. And a funny story: I used to always babysit him when his mom sold Mary Kay products after his dad, an astronaut, was lost in space. But anyways we used to play a game - the WOO HOO game we called it. Evertytime I walked into the room and he was in his playpen he would laughingly holler out WOO HOO. Come think of it I think that was the first comment he ever made as a toddler
  10:45am
Billy Jam:

shout out to Shane and Cheebah and all that - Limerick Ireland + Galway's Vince Mack Mahon turtnable quartet who are featured later on this show + to D oo Bs of the Johnny solo crew......AND a superduper shout out to Sean Daily -our most dedicated first commenter on WFMU....go to any show playlist by any DJ and you are likely to see Sean "First Comment" Daily make the first or almost first comment. Shout out to Sean's auntie Mairia for sending in the above comment. Doesn't it remind you of the bit from that Jay Z song December 4th? Hmmm,,,,,me too......me two.....me two turntables and a microphone......

Hey guys, Pat Kenny here. You might know me as the host of the Late Late Show here in Ireland, and also a sex symbol to middle-aged women all over the country. Mostly elderly women though. Sean Daily:

I can't take credit for the show, djspiderman. I'm still stuck at work here in Las Vegas. That's Billy Jam spinning the platters all the way.
  3:53pm
Pat Kenny:

The Delorean comes with a rearview mirror so you can check if you're being tailed by Biff, and it also includes a pair of moonboots. It energy-conservative, running on the dreams of young children and the tears of a clown.
True fact - the Delorean was built in N. Ireland by a company called DMC!
  3:56pm
Tall Paul:

Yo Bill, talking of puppets don't forget Ireland's favourite from the old days Wanderly Wagon and Bosco hope you don't have to many nightmares

I've just come across a writing that uses, as a verb, "incentivise" - that it, to "incentivise" something is to cause that thing to operate as an incentive. Trade you problems!

What kind of writing do you do, Parq? It sounds dreadful.

Have you ever thought of playing Buzzword Bingo with your coworkers to cope?

  4:43pm
Dust One:

Is this a live set?
  4:43pm
Tristram in Brooklyn:

Is there a Tonic alternative these days?
  4:45pm
Sean Daily:

NYAAAGH! You said the B word, GP! Don't you know that "Bush" is a four-letter word? Do you kiss your mother with that mouth!

Try saying this instead "FORMER President Bush". Emphasis on the "former". Much better, right?
  4:53pm
KBD:

Good sounds from the west of Ireland!

@ Dust One: I think so, yes.
  4:54pm
Dust One:

Yes definitely a great set. Does anyone know if they are using the Controller one?
  4:54pm
north guinea hills:

unfortunately, there is no tonic alternative. tonic was sort of the meeting point of all adventurous genres. you could show up not knowing what was playing, but stood a good chance of witnessing something special. now that it's closed, all of the scenes have splintered across town. so, there's no permanent place to find that cross-cultural pollination.

so, you basically have to have your earballs peeled to find any great happenings here and there. luckily, wfmu does a good job of letting the peeps know about the happenings around.

i'll be doing a multiple turntable doohickey at the free103point9.org studios next tuesday w/ dj rhizome, should be vermilion fun....
  4:56pm

I have both the compture and the radio on at the same time, creating a wonderous delay.....echoing thoughout my apartment.
  5:05pm

  5:06pm
Tristram in Brooklyn:

...and my "adding" is getting better......
  5:06pm

Wow, this is even a better set knowing the conroller one was not used, but it sounded like it was. I like it! :)

Hey,
I looked up Havok's "The Kush" and thats not the music you were talking over on the show. Unless its a b-side. I would really like to have that track for the crates. Let me know if I'm wrong.
