in-f@@king-credible!!! stuff - i just discovered this show because he took over for mr Finewine. Dig this stuff - that Otarus sounds like an African Van Morrison. Thanks Franco - too bad youre leaving. and your selection of funk on soulville was some top notch stuff that ive never heard before- awesome!!

Frank:

hey Pete, thanx for listening. On the Psych Rock tip, you might want to check out the Afro Rock specials from December 29th & January 19th. Especially the Psychedelic Aliens and Ferry Djimmy...

Yet another great show... it really is too bad you're leaving, but I hope we'll hear from you in the blog. And another thing: I get the feeling you don't take requests, but if you're willing to make a good-bye exception, I'd be thrilled to hear some more Kanaga de Mopti - particularly tracks "Gambari", "Sory Bamba" and "Sare Mabo", which I've only had the chance to hear with really lousy sound quality, but seem quite amazing. Thanks a lot for the music in any case, and have a great adventurous year!

All 3 tracks are on the same album, I'll play whichever you choose.

Tough choice... Maybe "Gambari", but if you prefer either of the other two, you're the DJ (and I'm so happy you are! :) Thanks a lot!!

Is there ANYWHERE I can find an mp3 of "afe ato yen bio"? Or was that on vinyl?
  8:27pm
Frank:

Hi Dashiel, I only play original vinyl... I don;t think this track has ever been re-released on CD nor is it available on mp3.
