  12:46pm Anna Anabolic:

Loving the Strummer stories!!
  12:49pm Joe:

Another tidbit, Joe: The Velvet Underground's first show in Summit New Jersey was opening for the Myddle Class!
  12:52pm Joe B:

Thanks Joe! I did know that actually!
  12:54pm Joe:

I think the Forty-Five Fingers was also on that bill. As far as I know, no members of that band dated Carole King!
  12:57pm Carmichael:

Pledged yesterday. Keep on a'rockin me baby.

Baby, baby, baby.
  1:00pm Carmichael:

Hi, Elizabeth! I'm from Wexford!!!
  1:09pm ChrisB:

Hey Dennis,

I have a single by The Action on Radiogram Records out of Ohio. Is it insanely valuable?
  1:16pm Alex from DC (representin'):

Been listening to WFMU since 1998, when I lived in 11215. Great show! Nice to get the xtra Clash swag.
  1:25pm Andy B:

  1:36pm stingy d:

hey carmichael, i accidentally happend upon a website that lets you download some scott walker records. there were at least three.

bugcity.blogspot.com there are other interesting gems all throughout the site, but some of the stuff is old and the links don't work anymore.
  1:38pm Ruggerio:

  2:41pm efd:

damn! ;)
  2:43pm douglas:

Joe South played the guitar intro. He was a guitarist for Franklin's sessions in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and went on to write several hit songs, including "Hush" by Deep Purple.
  2:46pm Topkat:

Hey all ya plegders and will be pledgers, I did pledge today to Joe's show as Dan from Minneapolis. So great to see all of the over-seas listeners support. To all of the listeners: while WFMU is more than a family sized burrito of audio goodness for most people, after you make your pledge to WFMU, go online and find one more indie/community station somewhere on the planet and make sure you make a donation to that station when they run their fundraiser. Since you listen to WFMU, you get what I'm talkin' about. "Good Radio" is not dead, your hearin' it now.
  2:57pm B. Musikoff:

Great show, BEE LOCK! I'm diggin that Sally Crewe!
  10:30pm Topkat:

.....that would be be....you're hearin' it now.
