I love hearing NPR stations say that "listener support is our largest single source of funding" -- got that? No one corporation gives us as much money, itself, as all of our listeners combined. Oooh!
  9:23am
annie:

can you say: ADM, cargill, annenberg, etc... 'tis pity.....
  9:33am

  9:41am
postmanpaul:

jason, typography trivia: interesting that you should refer to it as braille 'caus when type is embossed without colour registering on it it's called 'blind embossing'!
  9:45am
Kevin from BayRidge:

Hello all from South Fla ( only a few days). Gotta do the tough thing now...cut the internet tether & go run with a FM walkman in this frakkin radio wasteland. An hour without FMU is like....
  9:48am
christopher Barany:

ah, Traffic Sound...nice
  9:49am
still b/p:

..is like a sharing a warm pitcher of spoiled orange juice with Anita Bryant at an overcrowded Applebee's.
  9:54am
Kevin from BayRidge:

b/p,Yeah exactly... but the sunburn makes it all worthwhile.
  9:54am
SmokinJ:

  10:01am
The ol dirty bastard is dirty and stinky:

Ol dirty owes alimony so e'rbody pick up mcgirt's slack while he exploits non-extradition treaties and contribute!

: (
  10:17am
Jason:

sorry sour grapes, i told joe to rig it but he is a GOOD MAN
  10:17am
Kevin:

how about, for a clever segue, you play that song from cool runnings
  10:20am
dc pat:

wow, that sounded like it was recorded about 40 years ago. And I know something about sounding old.
  10:21am
Pearly Sweets:

The new Arial Pink stuff is sublime.
  10:22am
Pearly Sweets:

His new stuff is totally hifi and sounds like Odessa era BeeGees
  10:23am
dc pat:

Right, I mean in a good way. I just tried that sound on one of my recordings but didn't come near that live track.
  10:23am
dc pat:

OH, nice work!!
  10:23am
Jason:

hell yeah!
  10:25am
north guinea hills:

my favorite "mastering" effect is to take electromagnetic tape and soak it in vinegar & salt water for a few days so that the tape oxidized. It had a nice effect for this digital crystalline glacial electronic from the artist "( )" i "remixed. (and played over it live w/ an ensemble.
  10:27am
Aaron:

Love the show, Jason. Keep up the great work!
  10:28am
Doug from DC:

NGH: "Distressed" loops, instead of disintegration loops.
  10:30am
dc pat:

I like this tune but it's a rip-off of C'mon Now by the Kinks.
  10:31am
Jason:

Thanks Aaron! Word North Guinea Hills...Tiger is on the way sour grapes!
  10:31am
dc pat:

Okay, so I need to develop a program that will take my digital recordings and digitally soak them in vinegar and salt water....
  10:32am
Glenn L:

The band completely admitted that (Kinks rip off), dc pat.
  10:35am
kevin:

Tuesday really is a powerhouse sausage block of programming--no weak links.
  10:37am
north guinea hills:

i smashed some 78's after dj'ing w/ them back in my more angst-ridden days....
  10:40am
Joe:

They make a great sound, don't they?
  10:41am
Parq:

Those of you from Fla and elsewhere who mourn how bad your local radio is - don't feel too bad. Except for FMU, NYC/NJ radio sucks too. There are those of us who haven't listened to another music radio station for years.
  10:44am
kevin:

I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!11
  10:45am
jason:

kevin can you translate this???
  10:47am
kevin:

"obviously i'm ticked off"
  10:48am
Martin:

beat me Kevin - oh well. Greetings from Denmark. Great show btw
  10:52am
Doug from DC:

You can't say enema on the radio?
  10:52am
annie:

it's cause the enema didn't take..
  10:55am
fishmonkeystew:

Terry from Eastford, CT<---That's me! Wooohooo! WFMU is my savior!
  10:55am
Doug from DC:

Play "The Illinois Enema Bandit" by Zappa!
  10:59am
fishmonkeystew:

Yes, yes! The Illinois Enema Bandit-the version from Live in New York, if possible. Killer.
  10:59am
Bad Ronald:

The Enema Enigma!
  10:59am
Carmichael:

I heard he's on the loose.
  10:59am
fishmonkeystew:

I feel so much better now that I've donated. Whew.
  11:01am
Don Pardo:

Michael Kenyon!
  11:02am
Dave B:

THE ILLINOIS ENEMA BANDIT!
  11:04am
fishmonkeystew:

  11:05am
Joe:

  11:05am
dc pat:

  11:07am
Dave B:

  11:07am
Cecile:

HASSSSSSSSSSssssil
  11:07am
dc pat:

I'm surprised this song is FCC-acceptable...
  11:09am
Carmichael:

Sin Sisamouth is the best name ever.
  11:09am
Doug from DC:

Well, it might just be what thems all need.
  11:12am
Sean Daily:

Not even close to first comment! Woo hoo!
  11:16am
Sven:

Sean, ever tried posting the last comment? Not quite as rewarding, I know.
  11:17am
dc pat:

Oh it's a noble reward posting the last comment.
  11:19am
Glenn L:

But you can continue posting comments even after the show's archived. Therefore, there's no such thing as a last comment.
  11:23am
Pat in Philadelphia:

Woo Hoo!! I'm so excited to get my hands on that comp! Thanks Jason! I was in Cambodia a couple months and rummaging through markets looking for recordings. Not as fruitful as I hoped it would be, the Khmer Rouge did indeed do away with a lot of that stuff sadly.
  11:23am
Bad Ronald:

I believe the time stamp is the judge of that.
  11:24am
JoeSteele:

And so begins an existential crisis.
  11:25am
DJ Mama:

Tyvek - TOTALLY AWESOME!
  11:26am
Carmichael:

My next band (after Puppy Pads break up and sue each other) will be called Time Stamp.
  11:26am
DJ Mama:

Is it me? Or is just everything that comes out of What's Your Rupture? Awesome.
  11:26am
dc pat:

No Glenn L--the way you win is by posting the last comment before the hour of the new DJ. So to win this round you'd have to be the last post datestamped 11:59am
  11:26am
Jane:

even if the page is eternally open to last comments, someone can still have the last word.
  11:27am
dc pat:

Sean and I have played before.
  11:28am
Sarah:

Oh the Urinals
  11:28am
Carmichael:

This playlist sounds more like Joe McBelock's.
  11:29am
Parq:

Urinals - it doesn't get more WFMU than that.
  11:29am
Jane:

Ack now! Pledge!
  11:30am
dc pat:

  11:35am
dc pat:

  11:35am
DJ Mama:

GO! GO! GO! JASON! I'm hooked on your show now! Johnny Cash will not appreciate this at all... he would really like to be at the playground. IMA PLEDGE AGAIN!
  11:36am
Pearly Sweets:

  11:37am

  11:44am
Joe:
