One feature of the 28-CD Sun Ra set: you can put it in a room with the gigantic Merzbow set and watch it beat that thing to a bloody pulp.

I already own the Ra 28-disc set and yeah, Ra does punch WAY above his weight! (and Ra was not exactly skinny). dude if yer gonna play more of that Ra set may I suggest the awesome vocal medley "Bad Truth/Moonship Journey/Astro Nation/etc" from disc 6 or "Shoulder to Shoulder/To Be Or Not to Be/Ra Ra Ra" from disc 5!

it's stinJee... i didn't think i would ever care about a message board so much. wanna know the story?? good, i'll tell you. was a longtime listener on the radio. because i drove a truck for a construction company. and just in general liked to listen on sunday's and stuff. then one day i got a job in a desk at an office. and wondered if it was true that wfmu is online. sure enough it was true. and people were making comments. i wanted to make remarks. you needed a name. i was wearing a t-shirt that said "$tingy!" on it. and has a picture of my favorite knicks basketball player growing up. it was in reference to his propensity to disallow any opposition to score with his overpowering defense. thusly, stingy d.
