  12:48pm Cecile:

It's pretty good. Not instantly catchy, but has lots of texture to it. I like and think it's going to have a lot of staying power.
  12:54pm G:

That experimental EBS test with skipping disc insert was fun ...
  12:56pm Joe B:

condo shags for our former colonial masters.
  1:18pm Parq:

Cecile wins. I gotta go celebrate the day with Mexican food. (For those unfamiliar with the connection between Irish and Hispanic cultures, please see my forthcoming book, "Here Comes Éamon de Valera, He's a Neat Guy".)
  1:19pm annie:

i'm going back out now, at least be sure you have a condo with you.
  1:19pm Cecile:

Yay! I win! Whee!

  1:23pm still b/p:

My button says "Diss me, I'm Irish."
  1:31pm Cecile:

Play some Lizzy!
It's St. Paddy's Day!
Play "Emerald"!
  1:33pm i love mexican food:

Irish St Patrick's day was over! ( actually I don't care.. enjoy!)
  1:38pm ~L:

OMG the Condo Fucks live, wow, can not wait for that!!!

  1:43pm Wet Willy Wilson:

Will the condo fucks be playing covers for donations?
  1:44pm Joe B:

We're gonna need some donations - wait til you see their rider when I get it to The Smoking Gun!
  1:45pm Danimal:

Whisky in a jar OH
  1:51pm Cecile:

wow, this sounds like a cousin to "the beat goes on"
  1:56pm gumby:

What a great version of "Boots". That Lee Hazelwood was one hep Daddy-O!.
  1:57pm Pearlÿ Sweets:

I miss MIDIs. I think the Internet died when midis went away. And dancing Bart Simpsons.
  1:59pm Cecile:

and kittens rocking out to the Immigrant Song
  1:59pm efd:

Bomboras?
  2:00pm Pearlÿ Sweets:

Right on! The same goes for phones. When they started having "real music" phone rings it ruined phones. Everything good is ruined by polyphonics!
  2:02pm fishmonkeystew:

Puff, puff, pass, Joe.
  2:02pm ~L:

Check out the Condo Fuck video on matadorrecords.com
  2:06pm Rubble:

i dare you to play two consecutive tracks! ( Tracks!)
  2:18pm Rory:

Maybe you could play Red Krayola one of these days Joe.
  2:19pm dc pät:

I love that Fender reverb sound w/ the little bubbly noise in it.
  2:34pm Pearlÿ Sweets:

Ever have one of those days where you could just quit your job and become a park ranger?
  2:36pm Carmichael:

Shayzus, I finally got my monitor problem fixed. Happy St. Paddy's Day, everyone!!

This will be my most coherent post of the day. I have a bash to go to, followed by a shindig.

Joe, please play Stiff Little Fingers' "Alternative Ulster". Just the right fightin' music for today. Don't be a tosser.

Slainte!
  2:37pm Carmichael:

Cecile's right: Lizzy's "Whiskey in the Jar" would make the nut about now.
  2:38pm Pearlÿ Sweets:

We'll also accept the Vibrators' "Stiff Little Fingers". Also don't be a tosser.
  2:39pm aw:

wanna buy some shoes all of a sudden
  2:40pm Jøe Steele:

Ugh, I used to sell Thom Mcann's back in High School.
  2:40pm dc pat:

FUCKIN A RIGHT CARMICHAEL! Suspect Device the first thing I heard/saw this morning upon getting to work--friend sent youtube page. LOVE SLFs
  2:41pm GP:

That Liverpools spot was interesting. There was just an article on the BBC the other day about the "Death of the Jingle"
  2:42pm Carmichael:

Pat, I always liked you best. Even with a huge hole in your wall.
  2:43pm Topkat:

Hey All, can anyone tell me if the Jan. 2009 agreement between CPB and SoundExchange has any impact on WFMU. At my community station, we are experiencing
having to actually abide by rules in the DMCA law because
the wording in the agreement is identical to DMCA text. CPB is covering royalties that are the result of streaming, so we must obey. Of 15 shows I have programmed, only 5 are within the limits we must operate under from now on....hey, quit pokin' me with that stick...
  2:44pm Carmichael:

Who comes to a party and talks business?!? Get that business card outta my face, ya wank.
  2:47pm Budgie:

Topkat, drop a line to Ken for the best chances for an answer. And by the way... Do you call this food?
  2:52pm Topkat:

Thanks Budgie, I thought Ken would be the best go-to but there seems to be lots of knowledge here.....Joe's show...YES!
  2:53pm Cecile:

If this were Diane's show, I'd request Primordial - one of the best unclassificable metal bands out there (kind of a folk/black metal sound with a great, non growly singer)
  2:54pm dc pät:

Hey Carm, that hole is history now! It didn't come out perfect but pretty damn close--could use some more sanding and painting again I guess. But mrs. dc pat said it looked great: job done.
  2:55pm dc pat:

trying to think of an Irish garage band...
  2:55pm Cecile:

lizzy. lizzy. lizzy. slf. lizzy. lizzy.
or the undertones

Or Billy Jam singing any of the above.
  2:56pm Cecile:

THEM!
  2:56pm dc pät:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBYoNYuUVk0
  2:57pm dc pät:

ah fekk! it's the obvious ones you forget...Them..
