Wed. 4/29/09 3:09pm From: Pearly Sweets

This is a pretty wonderful song right here. And puts my shower singing to shame.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:09pm From: John McCabe in LA

"Rodd Keith - Do The Pig" don't forget "do the pig" it's the pig you really dig

Wed. 4/29/09 3:11pm From: Pearly Sweets

Where would one go about getting a copy of "chaos"? I did a quick google to see if I could find it on the blog with no luck.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:11pm From: dc pat

yeah, that Amanda is something..

Wed. 4/29/09 3:14pm From: Snoop Monkey Monk

"With my hands on my monkey ..."

Wed. 4/29/09 3:16pm From: steveroo

hey irwin will you play the movie loop song
that instrumental you extended that plays in some ny or jy theater

Wed. 4/29/09 3:18pm From: Cecile

Irwin, just tell me what kind of comments you want:
sychophantic,
provocative
informative
irrelevant
nonsensical

and I will try to comment according to your parameters.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:20pm From: Cecile

Aw, hell.
Vern Gosdin passed

Wed. 4/29/09 3:21pm From: steveroo

my dad was whistling the original song to baby elephant walk with out the bass and other samples one morning. i went to the fridge to drink my cold gatorade to start off my morning. chugged the juice quickly and next thing i know i'm dizzy and faint than fall down and pass out. i was told later that my body was too hot and threw my equilibrium off.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:21pm From: steveroo

anyways once i came to the real world i kept having the song over and over in my head when i was coming to

Wed. 4/29/09 3:24pm From: AnAnonymousParty

Kenny could sing along with SSD. And probably would.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:26pm From: Brucie

Irwin, in the pause before you say "Amanda" I hear the sound of my own overactive nose hair growing. I think it's growing up into my brain though. In the next pause before you say "Amanda" could you please tell me where to find Chaos if it's not in my own nose?

Wed. 4/29/09 3:26pm From: Irwin

Supplicative, Cecile baby.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:27pm From: Cecile

I hear and obey, almighty one.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:29pm From: BSI

Alright... just got back from a third-eye dilation with the plague ferrets. What did I miss?

Wed. 4/29/09 3:31pm From: Hollywood Starlet

Show us the way to the next salad bar.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:31pm From: Cecile

what about your pineal gland, BSI?

Wed. 4/29/09 3:32pm From: Parq

Whoa, Dave Van R did a Brecht album? Cool. Always loved his voice and his approach to American songs; neat to hear him turning the same astute eye on German music.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:33pm From: Cecile

I really like this too, Parq.

How good of Irwin to bless us with this.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:34pm From: annie

lurking...listening

Wed. 4/29/09 3:35pm From: BSI

Cecile: Pineal Gland = Third Eye, depending on how dilated it is. If the ferrets leave scar tissue, I can't do another session until it clears up.

Or was it just a late lunch-break? Christ, I can never tell the difference...

Wed. 4/29/09 3:35pm From: Pearly Sweets

Irwin is so magnificent. If he sweated, which he doesn’t, but if he did I bet it would consist of gold, rainbows, and dreams.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:36pm From: Pearly Sweets

How was that? Winning post? Or a negative on the way to ban-ship #9?

Wed. 4/29/09 3:36pm From: Cecile

oh, those pesky ferrets.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:40pm From: Brucie

Need Amanda's Chaos album. Awwwwwwwww dang it!. Can't find it no how. Sniff.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:44pm From: Pearly Sweets

I also came up empty handed in my search, Cousin Brucie. Alas I will have to just rip the song later to use in next mix album.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:45pm From: Tree Falling in a Forest

What is it I need to do to get banned in these parts?

Wed. 4/29/09 3:45pm From: The voice in my head

Irwin is telling you to kill people. Like that guy over there. I'll bet he listens to smooth jazz. Kill him.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:46pm From: Arse

Who would wait in line for stamps? Use the self-service kiosk and avoid the old bitties.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:47pm From: lady in the post office

i have never heard such insolence

Wed. 4/29/09 3:47pm From: Arnold Ziffel

I'm not feeling so well.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:47pm From: Gene Poole

I herd of that theory. Your reasoning seems pretty thin.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:48pm From: charlie

pplease play some music. thanks.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:48pm From: Cecile

Oh, Irwin, you always bring the smiles!

Wed. 4/29/09 3:49pm From: AnAnonymousParty

What the heck are stamps?

Wed. 4/29/09 3:51pm From: Napolean & Squealer

Some mutated viruses are more equal than others.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:51pm From: Cecile

Irwin, I would like to hear Miley do some Toby Keith songs. it would be the most amazing thing ever.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:53pm From: Pearly Sweets

Keep um coming.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:53pm From: AnAnonymousParty

Wed. 4/29/09 3:54pm From: Brucie

Oh Irvvvvvvvvvvvin ... more Amanda? Noooooooooo! Make it stop. Can't find album and losing meaning in my life. Maybe you don't like me. Maybe you've excreted the meaning from my life. If you genuinely don't like me, pleae play another Amanda thingmo and I'll understand.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:55pm From: fishmonkeystew

Sign me up for the Amanda Fan Club. 100% awesome.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:56pm From: Cecile

Yeah. AAP. Yeah.
Doesn't Toby do the song about Let's Make some Bad Decisions? That would rule. A Ford commercial with that song.

Aw, MX-80. i worship them.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:56pm From: Marshall Stacks

Irwin, what's the hardest you've ever laughed?

Wed. 4/29/09 3:56pm From: Brucie

Just realized I've handed over one of life's goodies in exchange for nothing ... the word "thingmo". Irwin, come on, it's an extremely handy word. Thingmo Thingmo Thingmo. More Amanda.

Wed. 4/29/09 3:57pm From: AnAnonymousParty

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha

Wed. 4/29/09 4:00pm From: Cecile

the most glum song about laughter ever. I love them.

Wed. 4/29/09 4:03pm From: Marshall Stacks

Cecile, more glum than the Bee Gee's "I Started a Joke"? That won the Milan Kundera Award for most glum work of art about a joke.

Wed. 4/29/09 4:04pm From: Cecile

Oooh, Mx-80 are a close second, then.

Wed. 4/29/09 4:04pm From: annie

Wed. 4/29/09 4:04pm From: Marshall Stacks

Pardon, "Bee Gees'" with the apostrophe in the right place.

Wed. 4/29/09 4:05pm From: Cecile

Wed. 4/29/09 4:06pm From: Snidely Whiplash

I will now proceed with tying a damsel in distress to a railroad track. This time I cannot fail.........

Wed. 4/29/09 4:08pm From: Pearly Sweets

"It makes me laugh . You got no friends. Ha Ha hA" - One of the Best Bee Gee moments ever.

Wed. 4/29/09 4:09pm From: annie

Wed. 4/29/09 4:16pm From: BSI

Wed. 4/29/09 4:17pm From: Brucie

Dear IrWin, could you kindly play all AMANDA all the time? Thank you in advance for the format change on the station. I think it'll work out fine for me.

Wed. 4/29/09 4:19pm From: Pearly Sweets

Where's my dumb bulb, jerk?

Wed. 4/29/09 4:21pm From: Parq

'Cile, I had contemplated a quip about artificial insinuation, but I changed my mind.

Wed. 4/29/09 4:24pm From: Lizardner Dave

I too prefer to spend more money on electricity and change light bulbs more often. I also buy premium gas for my Hummer. That'll show those damn environmentalists!

Wed. 4/29/09 4:25pm From: Gigantor

Nice version of Johnnie!

Wed. 4/29/09 4:25pm From: Carmichael

Wed. 4/29/09 4:42pm From: Parq

I had a roommate in frosh year of college with a stereo that sounded like this.

Wed. 4/29/09 4:43pm From: Uncle Floyd

Who remembers when Mugsy did Bruce Stringbean?

Wed. 4/29/09 4:43pm From: Cecile

this is how it should have been recorded in the first place, fearless exalted leader

Wed. 4/29/09 4:43pm From: Pearly Sweets

Cake on my face. Cake in my mouth. Cake in my belly. Cake in the toilet. r. mutt 1917

Wed. 4/29/09 4:44pm From: Sugar Kane Kowalczyk

I always get the fuzzy end of the lollipop.

Wed. 4/29/09 4:45pm From: Curious

I understand WHY you would make it fuzzy, but I have no idea HOW you make it fuzzy.

Wed. 4/29/09 4:49pm From: Parq

First version of this song I ever heard. It was years before I discovered that most versions went "doo-wah, doo-wah" instead of "booh-b-boh-boh". Youth . . .

Wed. 4/29/09 5:03pm From: Joe Bacon

Eat more Bacon???? Ahem....

Wed. 4/29/09 5:04pm From: Carmichael

OK, I'm sold on Luna.

Wed. 4/29/09 5:05pm From: ginger tim

Haeffner is now a lecturer in Communication Studies at London Metropolitan University. Great Indoors was his only record, iirc. A great one though!

Wed. 4/29/09 5:07pm From: Pearly Sweets

Joey Hot Chocolate?

Wed. 4/29/09 5:08pm From: Parq

Ah, so that's where Ike has been all day. No doubt he spent the day genially agreeing with everything that the others had to say.

Wed. 4/29/09 5:09pm From: Carmichael

Thank goodness Ike is talking with them, If they were corresponding, he'd be correcting their punctuation.

Wed. 4/29/09 5:15pm From: annie

ike should get bryce to remove that apostrophe from "cd's" which never skip.

Wed. 4/29/09 5:21pm From: Carmichael

He'd also point out my error in the previous post, which I subconsciously did on purpose.

Wed. 4/29/09 5:23pm From: Cecile

What singer did Tot Taylor back up?

Wed. 4/29/09 5:23pm From: Popfolkjazz?

Geshundheit!

Wed. 4/29/09 5:28pm From: Carmichael

Tot Taylor: http://www.trouserpress.com/entry.php?a=tot_taylor_and_his_orchestra

Wed. 4/29/09 5:30pm From: jan

Irwin: enjoying the sounds of Tot Taylor through Esquivel- can't wait to hear the next cut

Wed. 4/29/09 5:31pm From: Parq

That was the least weird Esquivil track I've ever heard.

Wed. 4/29/09 5:31pm From: Cecile

Ah, that's right. Mari Wilson!

Wed. 4/29/09 5:33pm From: Carmichael

Mari Wilson.

Wed. 4/29/09 5:34pm From: Carmichael

We're in sync, 'Cile.

Wed. 4/29/09 5:34pm From: ginger tim

Wasn't Tot Taylor in Advertising? The band, I mean, not the field. I wonder if he ever met Tut Taylor.

Wed. 4/29/09 5:35pm From: Cecile

I know, Irwin, I have sent so many emails about mistakes to AMG. They do alter it, but it takes forevah!

Wed. 4/29/09 5:35pm From: Cecile

that sounds right GT.

Wed. 4/29/09 5:35pm From: Pearly Sweets

AMG has even gone slower and slower and slower ever since they changed their website a few years back. So not only does it not have good information, it lags getting to it.

Wed. 4/29/09 5:36pm From: Carmichael

Their servers are what frustrates me. Or "server" as the case may be.

Wed. 4/29/09 5:37pm From: Pearly Sweets

Boourns on them. BOOURNS!

Wed. 4/29/09 5:40pm From: Pearly Sweets

Here it comes!

Wed. 4/29/09 5:41pm From: Carmichael

For a moment, I thought this was Judy Tenuda.

Wed. 4/29/09 5:42pm From: joshua

pero...ella no es una niña¿?
she is a little girl actually.. right?
i love her music...but, rarities1986-1989..is this real?
mmm

Wed. 4/29/09 5:43pm From: Pearly Sweets

I mean "Up Against the Wall Redneck Mama" has some of the punch as the songs off of "Chaos", but it seems to lack some of the same punch as Amanda's proper releases. Similar Artists: Matthew Sweet. Truman's Water. Luna. Inspired By: Tad. Jud Jud. Bryce.

Wed. 4/29/09 5:44pm From: Brucie

Amanda! Me likey. Irween, you've got me topped-up, brother! THANKS!

Wed. 4/29/09 5:47pm From: Carmichael

Sounds like you're steering toward Miley Cyrus as the big closer. Fess up, Irwin ...

Wed. 4/29/09 5:48pm From: Pearly Sweets

Amanda = http://www.myspace.com/memedacookie

Wed. 4/29/09 5:50pm From: Pearly Sweets

The music video is steller.

Wed. 4/29/09 5:51pm From: joshua

i know her myspace (amanda)...is great. but is she around 10 years?
i saw some videos too of this kid...is a confussion.

Wed. 4/29/09 5:59pm From: Jess

Thank you, Irwin. This just made my day.

Wed. 4/29/09 8:58pm From: Jerserf

Amanda's my sis! She's 30 now and amazingly intact from our exploits back in the late 80's. If I pressed a 7" would any of ya'll come to a record release party? Thanks so much for yer support R. Stevie and everybuddy! We were pretty seriously misunderstood as children.
