Wed. 4/29/09 2:24am From: Joe

HELL YEAH!

JMT is so beat now... I saw them in Philly in the Fall... after seeing them at SOBs and the Knit back in the day... of course I was like, 15 then...

Wed. 4/29/09 2:25am From: stingy d

pps- i also strongly recommend guesshermuff.blogspot.com

Wed. 4/29/09 2:25am From: Joe

He's back with them now. Except all he does is stand on the stage and look pissed, waiting for the song's he's actually in.

Wed. 4/29/09 2:26am From: stingy d

whats his name? it's totally escaping me. their first two records were pretty decent.

Wed. 4/29/09 2:27am From: stingy d

jus allah, nehmind

Wed. 4/29/09 2:28am From: Joe

Jus Allah. Violent By Design literally changed me from a grunge kid into a backpacker, overnight. From one dead scene to another.

the beats are sick tonight, Marty. Just sick.

Wed. 4/29/09 2:28am From: stingy d

i know some obese pothead femaleoid who thinks talib kweli is two people. i'm with field marshall p, talib kwalib is weak.

Wed. 4/29/09 2:30am From: Joe

Kweli is alright! Black Star man! C'mon. Quality was dope. Maybe no so much since then.

Wed. 4/29/09 2:33am From: stingy d

i never really liked them jerks man... the black star record had some good joints. i was a big fan of that respiration song and twice inna lifetime or something like that.... the one where the city is a living animal. i just have always hated kweli, to me, he is the guy in school who told the teacher where you were when you skipped their class.

Wed. 4/29/09 2:35am From: stingy d

the first mos def record on the other hand, really great. kweli held that guy back. so did urban thermo dynamics. but now he is all bloated too.

i'm telling ya man, i have the worst attitude about hip-hop. i'm completely impossible.

Wed. 4/29/09 2:37am From: Joe

When I get fed up with hip-hop, I go back to soul music. It's a pretty good balance.

Wed. 4/29/09 2:40am From: stingy d

i love so much music that it's easy to get past hip-hop... also i'm steadily popping enough pills to get past all my notions in a matter of seconds.

Wed. 4/29/09 2:41am From: stingy d

where you from joe?

Wed. 4/29/09 2:42am From: Joe

Tim Bogert and Carmine Appice... man you wanna talk about pills...

Wed. 4/29/09 2:43am From: Joe

Long Island, originally, north shore. But now I'm out in the wild North Jersey hills.

Wed. 4/29/09 2:44am From: stingy d

sure, i love them things... nice deflection... at least you're not from la... oofaaa!

Wed. 4/29/09 2:49am From: Joe

if I was anywhere where I couldn't listen to FMU in my car or my work van, I would have big problems.

Wed. 4/29/09 2:55am From: stingy d

i don't have a car, but when i'm in one and people cycle between hot97 and power105 endlessly it breaks my fuckin heart. i used to drive for a construction company, and wfmu kept me cool on hot days. then i worked in an office and i found out that it's on the internet!!! and it saved my life again. also, in brooklyn the airwaves don't really work, so i'm hooked on the internet conection. i want to get an iphone, i'm fairly certain i can have radio on it. then i'm set for life.

speaking of sets, that first one was great. and this has been pretty cool so far too marty!

Wed. 4/29/09 3:02am From: Amanda

I love Woods. Thanks Marty!

Wed. 4/29/09 3:07am From: stingy d

Wed. 4/29/09 3:14am From: marty

Wed. 4/29/09 3:20am From: Joe
