  2:23am
stingy d:

  2:24am
Joe:

HELL YEAH!

JMT is so beat now... I saw them in Philly in the Fall... after seeing them at SOBs and the Knit back in the day... of course I was like, 15 then...
  2:25am
stingy d:

pps- i also strongly recommend guesshermuff.blogspot.com
  2:25am
Joe:

He's back with them now. Except all he does is stand on the stage and look pissed, waiting for the song's he's actually in.
  2:26am
stingy d:

whats his name? it's totally escaping me. their first two records were pretty decent.
  2:27am
stingy d:

jus allah, nehmind
  2:28am
Joe:

Jus Allah. Violent By Design literally changed me from a grunge kid into a backpacker, overnight. From one dead scene to another.

the beats are sick tonight, Marty. Just sick.
  2:28am
stingy d:

i know some obese pothead femaleoid who thinks talib kweli is two people. i'm with field marshall p, talib kwalib is weak.
  2:30am
Joe:

Kweli is alright! Black Star man! C'mon. Quality was dope. Maybe no so much since then.
  2:33am
stingy d:

i never really liked them jerks man... the black star record had some good joints. i was a big fan of that respiration song and twice inna lifetime or something like that.... the one where the city is a living animal. i just have always hated kweli, to me, he is the guy in school who told the teacher where you were when you skipped their class.
  2:35am
stingy d:

the first mos def record on the other hand, really great. kweli held that guy back. so did urban thermo dynamics. but now he is all bloated too.

i'm telling ya man, i have the worst attitude about hip-hop. i'm completely impossible.
  2:37am
Joe:

When I get fed up with hip-hop, I go back to soul music. It's a pretty good balance.
  2:40am
stingy d:

i love so much music that it's easy to get past hip-hop... also i'm steadily popping enough pills to get past all my notions in a matter of seconds.
  2:41am
stingy d:

where you from joe?
  2:42am
Joe:

Tim Bogert and Carmine Appice... man you wanna talk about pills...
  2:43am
Joe:

Long Island, originally, north shore. But now I'm out in the wild North Jersey hills.
  2:44am
stingy d:

sure, i love them things... nice deflection... at least you're not from la... oofaaa!
  2:49am
Joe:

if I was anywhere where I couldn't listen to FMU in my car or my work van, I would have big problems.
  2:55am
stingy d:

i don't have a car, but when i'm in one and people cycle between hot97 and power105 endlessly it breaks my fuckin heart. i used to drive for a construction company, and wfmu kept me cool on hot days. then i worked in an office and i found out that it's on the internet!!! and it saved my life again. also, in brooklyn the airwaves don't really work, so i'm hooked on the internet conection. i want to get an iphone, i'm fairly certain i can have radio on it. then i'm set for life.

speaking of sets, that first one was great. and this has been pretty cool so far too marty!
  3:02am
Amanda:

I love Woods. Thanks Marty!
  3:07am
stingy d:

ok, i think i'm gonna call it a night... station manager ken would not like it if he could see me now.
  3:14am
