Cecile:

EPIC
  3:27pm
Cecile:

hey, Diane, was the Kylesa guy as cool as he sounded on the radio? That was a great interview.
  3:40pm
Tankman:

On this date in 1989..... Did you know that 'Tiananmen' (天安门) means 'Gate Of Heavenly Peace?'
  3:42pm
Havina:

hey Diane, what was that awesome song playing in the background when you last spoke? Greetings from Finland!
  3:44pm
Dave B:

"Have I Ever Told You How Lucky You Are?" by Dr. Seuss
ISBN-10 : 0394827198
  3:53pm
Cecile:

How about Happy Birthday to Me?
Because you read the birthday list!
It's also one of my favorites.

Also, can you play some Enslaved?
  3:57pm
BearJaw:

happy birthday cecile
  3:58pm
Carmichael:

I had to look and make sure this wasn't Geddy Lee. Whew!
  3:58pm
Warner:

If you perform Happy Birthday in public, we want ROYALTIES!! Thanks in advance.
  4:00pm
Cecile:

I mean happy birthday to you. LOL! SLip of the brain. It is a Dr. Seuss book.

hey, BearJaw, thanks. It was a nice day. But it was Sunday.
  4:01pm
Marshall Stacks:

This Siouxsie song is a tribute to David Carradine, I take it?
  4:03pm
AnAnonymousBangkokParty:

No tribute him. He bad tipper.
  4:06pm
Cecile:

yes!
  4:17pm
mb:

Happy B-Day Cecile! Stay Metal.
  4:24pm
Cecile:

hey, thanks!
  4:29pm
AnAnonymousParty:

A flash flood is what we had here on the 25th, when you get 7" of rain in 1 hour, 12" in less than 6 hours and everything goes under water before you even have time to say WTF?
  4:33pm
Cecile:

AAP we had one in Mpls, and people were kayaking down Nicollet Avenue. We got 6" in 30 minutes.

OMG I LOVE COUCH FLAMBEAU.
  4:36pm
Cecile:

"I joined your fan club and everything"
  4:40pm
AnAnonymousParty:

I live on a lake, in less than an hour it came up 4' higher than anyone can remember and we barely had time to get the boats out of the boathouse before they got crushed into the roof, unlike several of my not-so-lucky neighbors. As of last Wed there were still 20+ boats missing. Flooded homes and cars swept off roads. 'Flash flood' is bad words 'round these parts now.
  4:41pm
Cecile:

I can imagine. They are scary as hell.
At least with a regular flood, you have a shot at escape.
  4:47pm
Carmichael:

Unless you live in Malibu. Your house will slide off a cliff and into the ocean faster than you can say Jack Robinson. Up here in the scenic State Capitol we've been having lightning strikes and instant hailstorms. Pretty spooky; I think Mother Nature is aiming for someone ...
  4:47pm
AnAnonymousParty:

Yep, we're 'used' to 'regular' floods here in StLou, I used think 'poor folks, at least it won't happen to me up here on high ground' when I watched it happening on the news . . .
  5:06pm
Cecile:

Jay Tiller

never did see them.
  5:08pm
Carmichael:

Los Straitjackets are huuuuge out here. Glad to see them get some airplay in NJ.
  5:10pm
Cecile:

are you still not going to see BOC, Diane?
I saw them about 5 years back, Buck still had it, Alan Lanier looked awful
  5:18pm
Carmichael:

BOC are sacred relics. They're worth seeing anytime you can. I wouldn't care if Buck lost all his dharma.
  5:22pm
Cecile:

I love to see Buck at it, but that rhythm section (at least the one at the time) was a couple of 30 something hosers.
  5:35pm
hosers:

somebody has to be the hosers in this crazy world
  5:36pm
kamikaze:

The last time I saw BOC was 7-8 years ago. They were, ah, not so good. That will be the last time I see 'em. I've seen Mr. Joe Bouchard do some of his projects which are fun, but sadly, nothing is gonna bring back the 70's for those guys.
  5:39pm
Cecile:

I can see where you're coming from. I think it may have been that long ago for me, too.

Yeah, without the Boucher brothers and Richard Meltzer, it's not the same. Although I did love hearing things like ME-262 and Teen Archer live. I never saw 'em in the 70s, so that was fine.
  5:41pm
Mars:

Wannabes make Me laugh!
  5:51pm
Venus:

I just don't get Mars
  5:54pm
Mars:

It's a Guy Thing.
  5:55pm
Cecile:

Coolness
  5:55pm
Carmichael:

Well, this will certainly bring back the 70s.
