G:

Is that the Pan's People that were kind of a house group on Top of the Pops (BBC TV) during the early 70s? I wonder.
  12:36am
Hatch:

Not sure... seems possible?
  12:42am
coalhard:

stop texting while driving bethany--you could prevent a drunk from running over a pebrysterian
  12:42am
G:

Seems like a good possibility. Whenever a group with a UK chart hit (slots 1-30) wasn't available to mime their hit, Pan's People performed song and dance routines on the weekly prime time Top of the Pops countdown show. It was on Brit TV during the years I lived there, 1971-74. They were pretty cheesy, but of their time and place. Hadn't thought about them in decades.

Right ON! My friend Eve and I stayed up all night at a sleepover in junior high, transcribing the words to Jam On It and rapping it to each other.

Ok, we'll let bygones be bygones, Casuals. After all, look at what my guys "appropriated" from every soul and disco group from the 1965-1975 era. Talk about stayin' alive.
