fmuidiot:

Whew! I didn't know I had to carry the night?
  9:27pm
Angela:

That french song's words were the equivalent to "sit down and shut the fuck up."
  9:31pm
fmuidiot:

I would have liked to use those words many times.
  9:31pm
bethany:

Well, there you have it. Thanks Angela!
  9:36pm
ed zepplin:

  9:39pm
Jeremiah:

Well, FMUid, we're all out here listening intently and enjoying the sounds as well. I tend to listen on FM so I don't have my computer on. I spend enough time on the computer during the week. And, um, by the way - why do you choose that screen name? I mean, really.
  9:48pm
e:

loving the clanging of metal, bethany *
  9:56pm
Bunyan:

Ah, the dulcet tones of those Los Alamos cloud chamber bottles -- it could only be our beloved Mr. Partch! Oh, and Hovhaness as well... my weekend is complete! :)
  9:57pm
Harry Beaver:

Mr. & Mrs. H.:

We are absolutely loving this program. Thank you so much. Only someone with your vast knowledge could come up with sets like these. You're one of a kind, and our favorite voice on the radio.

Jim:

Speaking of metal music, I rode the D train today, and the whine of the wheels sounded just like Henry Flynt.
  10:18pm
bethany:

Harry: I'll check for the Berio w/Kathy Berberian and the Cage. Thanks for the request.
  10:33pm
Asseyez-vous:

Whatever your theme, Bethany, your show tends to be all hits and no misses. Pure music love!
  10:43pm
Charlie Finch:

Hi bethany
What song were you just playing in the background of your monologue?
It was beautiful. Thanks for the great show tonight
  11:05pm
Bunyan:

Thanks for the Webern! Sadly, he came to illustrate the dangers of stepping out for a smoke at the wrong time... (the antipodal example is Sergei Korolev [not a composer] whose life was saved by ducking out for a cigarette at a critical moment).

Say, will you be including Elliott Carter (who recently passed his centennial!) in your quartets review? I see that his first and fifth span about 45 years...
