Listener comments!

Tue. 9/1/09 9:08am From: minnie the moocha

good morning ........

Tue. 9/1/09 9:15am From: Pavlov's jog

Whenever minnie checks in, I expect someone else to say not just "Hi,' but "Hi-de-hi-de-hi!"

Tue. 9/1/09 9:22am From: Parq

She did a post about the King of Sweden . . .

Tue. 9/1/09 9:30am From: King Carl XVI Gustaf

Do tell....

Tue. 9/1/09 9:37am From: Parq

He sat and played her all the sound that matters
Each set he played her was a dozen platters
At marathon she gave him all her nickles and dimes
She played her premium CD a million times

Tue. 9/1/09 9:49am From: Cecile

awesome parq.
I need some disco.

Tue. 9/1/09 9:51am From: The Clash

I thought we were the only band with sound that matters, at least that what Epic told us.

Tue. 9/1/09 9:57am From: jojo

i ditched itunes and i feel so free,
i know it sounds stupid,
but it even sounds better somehow coming through vlc

Tue. 9/1/09 10:00am From: DeemerDave

I hear the word "pissed" on the radio somewhat regularly so I am pretty sure it is allowed. Just as well you didn't say it anyway. I prefer not to hear about urination in casual conversation.

Tue. 9/1/09 10:02am From: Cecile

I would love to come to the fest, but my fall vacation will be spent helping mum with her knee replacement recuperation in beautiful downtown Beaver Falls, PA.

Tue. 9/1/09 10:05am From: jason

i think you can say "pissed off" but not "pissed jeans" as in urination. stoopid rules

Tue. 9/1/09 10:07am From: annie

hello-baloo folks

Tue. 9/1/09 10:08am From: Cecile

annnnnnnniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie

ah, tis truly better to be pissed off than pissed on.

Tue. 9/1/09 10:10am From: lota

"piss" is number two of the "seven dirty words".
strange.

Tue. 9/1/09 10:10am From: DeemerDave

Better to be safe than fined by the FCC.

Tue. 9/1/09 10:11am From: annie

i've been listening since nine.. the plumber was here for his weekly repair visit; i say that with <s>... i'll be glad when the whole thing is finished. cracked up electric work and bath tubs are not a safe couple.

Tue. 9/1/09 10:20am From: annie

cecile, you'll be seeing the beginnings of fall there. are you driving out?

Tue. 9/1/09 10:21am From: AnAnonymousParty

The synth line in Milkshake Daddy sounds a lot like the one in Synergy/Larry Fast's "Delta 2 & Delta 4".

Tue. 9/1/09 10:27am From: Cecile

No, flying. I want this trip to be like a band-aid, quick and sharp and painful, but it will be over.

Worst. Daughter. Ever.

AAP - you are so dating yourself with that reference, and I am so dating myself by getting it.

DeemerDave, words to live by.

Tue. 9/1/09 10:30am From: Carmichael

Good morning Jason and listeners.

Tue. 9/1/09 10:40am From: Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn

Beaver Falls, PA!? Did you know Papa John Creach?

Tue. 9/1/09 10:43am From: Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn

Or maybe Joe Willie Namath?

Tue. 9/1/09 10:47am From: Cecile

my mom went to high school with Joe Willie's older brother

Tue. 9/1/09 10:53am From: Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn

Cool. The most famous native of the town in which I was born is Jerry Lewis. Wanna trade?

Tue. 9/1/09 10:55am From: annie

we have jerry jeff walker, but you won't hear him say that.

Tue. 9/1/09 10:55am From: Cecile

Dum Dum, have you BEEN to Beaver Falls, PA? Because apart from the amazing donut shop and a great cooking supply store, it's so not all that.

Tue. 9/1/09 10:58am From: Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn

Cecile - Have you been to Irvington, NJ?

Tue. 9/1/09 11:01am From: Lulu

great "flow" !

Tue. 9/1/09 11:02am From: Carmichael

A roommate of mine in the military was from Beaver Falls. That's the only time I've heard of it.

Sacramento has Mark Spitz and Molly Ringwald.

Tue. 9/1/09 11:02am From: Cecile

No. So I guess we are probably even, hey?
I didn't grow up there. But when I visited there, even in the boom time of the 70s, I couldnt' get back to my podunk town in the piney woods fast enough.

Tue. 9/1/09 11:02am From: Carmichael

This sounds like Devo with Stan Ridgeway singing lead.

Tue. 9/1/09 11:02am From: Parq

In short, Beaver Falls is mostly a lotta nothing, but it does have one or two okay things. Sounds like most cities and towns in America, and I expect, elsewhere.

Tue. 9/1/09 11:04am From: Parq

example: Truro, Nova Scotia Can, has next to no tourist zing, but by happenstance, we found it it's actually not a bad place to chill for a couple of days.

Tue. 9/1/09 11:04am From: Parq

>found out it's<

Tue. 9/1/09 11:12am From: Cecile

Good point, Parq, and I am planning long walks through the streets so I can have my daily donut.

Tue. 9/1/09 11:16am From: annie

be sure to have an apple fritter!!

Tue. 9/1/09 11:17am From: Carmichael

Thanks, you two. I just went and snagged a donut right now ....

Tue. 9/1/09 11:17am From: Cecile

Yes, that is on my list. As are their pumpkin donuts.

They also have a lovely Carnegie library. So one more thing.

Tue. 9/1/09 11:18am From: Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn

Oram's or Deangelis?

Tue. 9/1/09 11:18am From: Cecile

Orams!
Is there another....?!?!?!?!?!?!

Tue. 9/1/09 11:20am From: BSI

No more meetings! Back to the headphones!
Egad, I missed a track from Hey Du, the most underrated & forgotten Guru Guru album... (atommolch being a personal fave, though it's a long one for radio)

Tue. 9/1/09 11:22am From: Cecile

nice, I like the was not was chopped and screwed

Tue. 9/1/09 11:24am From: Parq

See? Everyplace has got something. My ancenstral home, Paramus NJ is one of the most brain-death places in the world, but it does have a great non-chain burger joint, still serving after nearly half a century.

Tue. 9/1/09 11:36am From: Cecile

NO their FIRST

Tue. 9/1/09 11:50am From: Cecile

not meaning to be grumpy or anything.

this is really funny, though. I had this huge urge to listen to this about six months ago, and found a cheap dl on amazon. Then all of a sudden, Was (Not Was) lives!
