Thu. 10/15/09 12:24pm esch oder anarchie!:

As long as you're making Yoko Ono and Konono sandwiches, why not add some OOIOO and SUNOOO)))?
  Thu. 10/15/09 12:25pm BSI:

Carambolage: brilliant... teetering into Kipper Kids territory there for a second...
  Thu. 10/15/09 12:25pm zoot:

Folks having trouble with Mothers references today, america. By the way, I'm Jimmy Carl Black, and I'm the Indian of the group.
  Thu. 10/15/09 12:26pm BSI:

  Thu. 10/15/09 12:30pm jason555:

Enjoying this Alan Vega, is this his "rockabilly album"?

also speaking of Yoko Ono, she jsut released stems of a track off her new album under Creative Commons so that people can remix 'em: http://creativecommons.org/weblog/entry/18490
  Thu. 10/15/09 12:31pm stingy d:

  Thu. 10/15/09 12:34pm Ike:

“I can't tell when you're telling me the truth."

  Thu. 10/15/09 12:39pm annie:

i'm lurking, just waiting for the right moment..
  Thu. 10/15/09 12:45pm Carmichael:

R.I.P. Dickie. Got to open for them on their last tour. They were great. They play for almost 2 hours! Blown away....
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:10pm Carmichael:

Blue Cheer's manager was quoted as saying, "They are so loud they turn the air into cottage cheese."
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:12pm Jeffersonic:

@anyone: Okay, I'll admit I'm a cranky old reprobate who's worshipped at the church of Sabbath since 1973...
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:13pm Coney:

I like how Blue Cheer just always sound like 3 guys who got together and decided to be awesome.
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:14pm Chris:

Simply Saucer! Woo-hoo.
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:15pm BSI:

Simply Saucer!!!
Scott Williams for president. Or Toad Lord, or something.
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:18pm annie:

ok, done lurking, going to stack wood.. see y'all..
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:18pm Chris:

Did anyone hear whether that Simply Saucer documentary was ever completed? They were filmed at Terrastock as part of the work on the movie.
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:19pm LO-T:

@jason thx for the yoko ono rmx tip!
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:33pm Ike:

@BSI, Toad Lord! Nice! Does the Toad Lord command croaking symphonies of amphibians all across the the land or just the coordinated invasion of toads into homes of uncool suburbanites?
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:36pm Pud:

Agreed. Great Ono. Enjoying the whole damned deal, Scotty. In a world of insensitive rogues and harlots, you provide a brief soft-jolt instance of broadcast purity, shooting white light into the infinite and reaping little as the great ones always do.
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:38pm Carmichael:

I like your bed music as much as any set song. It's so hep.
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:41pm BSI:

do 7" records intended for 33RPM play count?
I'm just thinking of those potty breaks, yo.
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:46pm Scott:

7" records at any speed count BSI, you know that! Also, any direction, oh and in any physical relation to the spindle.
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:48pm BSI:

thought as much.
Music, like all forms of art and communication, must be dictated by the potty breaks. .. remember that.
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:48pm Jeffersonic:

Are there any Wfmu Dj's with a Devil may care attitude that will be using an old turntable with a multi-stack 45 spindle next week?
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:50pm SCott:

Jeffersonic, I'd check with Fabio
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:51pm granny:

Lubos Fiser -- nice tune
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:51pm C:

anyone familiar with Franco Battiato’s stuff? i noticed he's got a show up in nyc and the description i read sounds interesting, but he's got a daunting amount of work out there. any ideas where to start? thanks!
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:53pm Carmichael:

I'm expecting a woman's voice to shout, "All for you, Damien! All for you!!!"
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:53pm Skip:

Broadcast, the band, unmasked... This is top of My Week of Wonders.
  Thu. 10/15/09 1:55pm Scott:

Hiya Granny! You gotta see the movie it's from, sooo beautiful. Skip, Broadcast has actually recorded songs about this movie/soundtrack; in fact, Trish Keenan wrote some liners for this release. Carmichael, I'm with you. And C -- yes! Franco Battiato's mid-70s stuff is mostly amazing, Uhh uhh... Embryo is a killer - and more. There's also a thing he did with Juri Camasasca called "La Convenzione" that's a mindblower -- I'll play something from that soon, sit tight....
  Thu. 10/15/09 2:04pm C:

awesome! thanks a lot, scott. btw, sorry i can't volunteer for the record fair again this year. too hard for me to get up from dc that weekend. hopefully next year though.
  Thu. 10/15/09 2:37pm GP:

Night Smoker = hauntingly good
  Thu. 10/15/09 2:40pm Ike:

  Thu. 10/15/09 2:42pm BSI:

egad! Where are we?
I've eaten my nose!
  Thu. 10/15/09 2:45pm Ike:

  Thu. 10/15/09 2:59pm dc pat:
