Playlist for Seven Second Delay with Ken and Andy - October 28, 2009

Wednesdays 6pm - 7pm on WFMU 91.1 fm 90.1 fm wfmu.org

Ken and Andy further lower WFMU's already abysmal standards as the program enters its death throes. Stunt radio which subjects the radio audience to concepts and topics which mature adults should not have to endure. Find the fatal flaw.

Listener comments!

Wed. 10/28/09 6:05pm From: Bad Ronald

Welcome back and hello!

Ken - Kudos on yer fill-in. Prof. Dum Dum ruffled some feathers.
Andy - Didn't realize you worked on "T.V. Funhouse" thanks man, I love that show.

Wed. 10/28/09 6:06pm From: Jerz

YAY!

Wed. 10/28/09 6:10pm From: Caroline

How about the Seventh Inning Delay?

Wed. 10/28/09 6:11pm From: Ike

Idea: You could have callers to offer up basic "facts" about sports which may be true or false, and then you each have to guess. The person who gets the most answers right loses. Or wins. Not sure.

Wed. 10/28/09 6:11pm From: GP

Bad Ronald whats up..Yeah, I bet Dum Dum is fun at parties. He can be pretty funny though once you know he is just trying to push everyones buttons.

Ken, Andy...<nods in their direction>

Wed. 10/28/09 6:13pm From: Lizardner Dave

True or false: The Yankees have a 4 game winning streak in post season play against the Phillies.

Wed. 10/28/09 6:13pm From: Raj

I don't know or follow baseball, so I won't be able to call in.

Okay, I said it. Who's next?

Wed. 10/28/09 6:16pm From: Bad Ronald

Hey GP - yeah, I dig PDD too.

Wed. 10/28/09 6:17pm From: GP

Is this the "People Magazine" version of the sports show?

I don't have time to hate but if I did the Yankees would be pretty close to the top of the list....<backs into corner..crouches into Kung-Fu Stance) ; )

Wed. 10/28/09 6:20pm From: GP

I bet Liz Berg knows all!

Wed. 10/28/09 6:21pm From: Bad Ronald

heh heh - "taking the mound"....

Wed. 10/28/09 6:22pm From: Lizardner Dave

Andy's right, Cleveland.

Wed. 10/28/09 6:23pm From: GP

Bad Ron, a favorite activity of mine!

Oh the metaphors we could spin....

Wed. 10/28/09 6:24pm From: Lizardner Dave

"Even though they used to be friends on the same team" is a cringeworthy phrase, kind of like how your mom talks about sports.

Wed. 10/28/09 6:26pm From: phil

Will the Yankees stay with the three-man rotation that proved so effective in the LCS, even with the tighter World Series schedule forcing short rest for starters?

Wed. 10/28/09 6:28pm From: GP

Have a good afternoon everyone...I'm out.

Wed. 10/28/09 6:29pm From: phil

Will the Phillies’ bullpen hold up against the toughest, deepest lineup in the game?

Wed. 10/28/09 6:36pm From: Lizardner Dave

Well, gotta leave the office. Will check this out on the archive tomorrow. Keep doing a good show.

Wed. 10/28/09 6:41pm From: G

Science-nerd sports content:

Recent computer-graphics proof that the "breaking ball" is an illusion generated by the batter's shift from peripheral to foveal vision:

Wed. 10/28/09 6:43pm From: John McCabe in LA

Mariano Rivera and the home-field advantage give the Yankees the edge.

Wed. 10/28/09 6:44pm From: Fellow grammer nerd

Ike, how do we feel about "most importantly" as opp. to "most important"?

Wed. 10/28/09 6:57pm From: Bad Ronald

Who's taken the most mounds Alex Rodriguez or Babe Ruth?

Wed. 10/28/09 6:58pm From: G

The theme music! Saved by the cavalry!

Thu. 10/29/09 10:13am From: sean

show of the year

Thu. 10/29/09 4:20pm From: PMD

OK, I'm one of the women who listen to the show, but even I have my limits.

Thu. 10/29/09 7:03pm From: ps

I know Andy feels he's in purgatory every time you have an in studio show, but as an at home radio listener, I vastly prefer this format. The sound quality is never as good at the UCB Theater for people listening over the radio/internet. It sounds chaotic a bit.

Fri. 10/30/09 7:08am From: Listener zero

I like Irwin becoming a side-kick to 7SD lately. In many ways he rivals Kenny G when the latter played that role.
