  12:21pm Lou:

Phillies in 7
  12:23pm efd:

I'm with Lou.
  12:24pm randy in NC:

Me 3
  12:24pm Cecile:

as HL Menken once said "voting for the Yankees is like rooting for US Steel"
  12:24pm Lou:

inevitable? like how you claimed 2004 pennant was inevitable?
  12:24pm steve:

go phils.
  12:24pm PMD:

Hi Joe and all...
  12:27pm Cecile:

hey, can you play "youth and experience"?
  12:29pm 52nd Street Irwin:

Allen Oldies Band for governor!
  12:30pm Parq:

I would totally vote for the Allen Oldies Band if they were on the ballot. At least you guys in NJ get to vote in a contest where it matters who you vote for. I'll be voting for a fringe candidate for NYC mayor because it'll be just as meaningful as voting for one of the majors.
  12:32pm Cecile:

YES!
  12:33pm Carmichael:

Ask and ye shall receive.
  12:35pm Cecile:

YES AGAIN!
  12:36pm frenchee:

Love this political Joe Belock set!
  12:37pm Joe B:

Always happy to play a request ... when it is already at my fingertips!
  12:44pm Cecile:

I love that Danny and Dusty record
  12:54pm Dean:

Downey was also the hometown of the Carpenters. And once upon a time, there was a remarkable vintage record store, Wenzel's, not to mention Middle Earth Records, long ago a haven for a certain species of live recording...
  12:58pm Dean Rispler:

Joe - great show as per usual. Did The Bamboo Kids send you the link to the new recordings? I hope you got them. If so, play Daylight Be Damned for me. Thanks!
  12:59pm Joe B:

Hi Dean!

I downloaded the zip file a few times but had trouble opening it. I'll have to wait for the vinyl I guess!
  1:00pm north guinea hills:

never cared for the raveonettes before, but this is nice.
  1:01pm ISSAC from Mexicali México:

Just discovered FLAT DUO JETS ... could you play something of them to really convert me? recommend an album?
  1:04pm Joe B:

Hi Issac,

About to have a live band on for the next segment so can't play Flat Duo Jets. But I recommend Go Go Harlem Baby, Red Tango, Lucky Eye and Dexter Romweber solo LP Blues That Defy My Soul Hope that helps.
  1:08pm ISSAC from Mexicali México:

thanks joe
  1:12pm Dean Rispler:

Joe - really? That doesn't make sense. I'll send you a new link. Should I send it to the WFMU.org link or to your personal email address? Let me know.
  1:13pm Joe B:

Hi Dean,

you can send it here joe at wfmu dot org. I think my computer is screwed up, I'll get it here!
  1:16pm delmore:

Long live Wild Carnation!
  1:20pm Dean Rispler:

Joe - I sent the link there. Please let me know you got it. Thanks.
  1:21pm Joe B:

Thanks Dean!
1:27pm Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

Timothy Leary's final words: "Why? Why not." True story.
  2:13pm CC:

  2:33pm Cynthia:

I'll be reaching for a piece of birthday cake. I don't care what macca says! :) (Thanks Joe!)
  2:34pm laura:

Seems like a lot of Paul McCartney floating around the FMU airwaves lately.
  2:36pm Dean Rispler:

Oh yes - happy early birthday, Cynthia! I saw that your b-day is coming up on facebook. So you're finally going to be 21? Old enough to drink. Be careful!
  2:39pm seang:

simon chardiet is the baddest rocknroll dude i've ever seen
  2:40pm cynthia:

Thank you Dean. In England there wil be fireworks for my birthday! Well... they're for my birthday as far as I am concerned! :)
  2:41pm Dean Rispler:

Simon's playing the Lakeside on Ave. B and 10th in Manhattan this Friday for free. Go see him absolutely kill it on guitar and vox!
  2:42pm Dean Rispler:

Cynthia - it is for your birthday. The U.K. loves you!
  2:42pm Joe B:

It was a nice surprise to see Simon with Heavy Trash. I didn't know he was with them!
  2:44pm Dean Rispler:

Yes - I always knew he was a bad-ass guitarist, but he's become a great bass player, too. And now he gets to show it off with Spencer and Verta-Ray. Once in a while, if you're lucky, you can see Simon play solo jazz guitar on the L train subway platform during the week.
  2:45pm Cecile:

Two great things that go great together
Duane Eddy and Davie Allan!
  2:47pm chris renna:

Hey there Dean R!
  2:49pm Dean Rispler:

Hi, Chris! How are you?
  2:49pm chris:

Good good man. Making lots of sounds. And you?
  2:50pm Cecile:

Alice Donut is still around? Aieee.
  2:51pm Dean Rispler:

I am o.k. Just started a new label - check out drugfrontrecords.com - it's digital downloads now and we're gonna do limited 180gm picture discs as well. I would message faster, but my math is bad! I can only count to 4!
  2:54pm chris:

Cool, will check yer site out. Yeah, all that time at Skidmore and I can only count to like 6 or 7 myself...
  2:56pm Dean Rispler:

I know - maybe I can get to 6 if the tune is in 6/8. I just became a fan of your on Facebook. Where in Boston are you?
  2:57pm C:

Waltham
  2:58pm chris:

This is fun reconnecting on a public forum. FMU rocks! Makes sense to find you here
  3:03pm 52nd St. Irwin:

Great show!
  5:29pm Mark:
