  3:16pm
v k:

Wishing you a "decent holiday," and perhaps even a "pretty decent holiday."
  3:32pm
Cecile:

okay, you have to play Fahey's version of the Chipmunks' Christmas song. I love that thing...
  3:39pm
Hugh:

Happy Solstice Irene!
PROKOFIEV! The Troika Song! one of my absolute favorites!
  3:45pm
Looms:

Thanks for that nice and (so far) peacefull show.
  3:46pm
Cecile:

Irene, I hate to keep yelling requests at you, but would you happen to have the soltice classic "The King" by Steeley Span?
  4:03pm
Looms:

Yeah, peace!!! That's what we all need!
  4:38pm
Cecile:

Irene, anything you select is great!
  4:38pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

Tibetan, eh? Sounded Gaelic to me. Just shows that original cultures all over the world share similarities.

lucybluebear:

I agree, thanks Irene, why do other stations miss all this great Christmas music? It reallly fits the season. WFMU plays the best...
  5:49pm
Irene:

I blame rampant commercialism and a severe lack of imagination. Most programmers only put music in rotation that's familiar and not at all challenging. It only took me a morning to put this together, and there's lots more where this came from.
  5:54pm
lucybluebear:

well you nailed it. thanks alot and I hope playing the archive of this doesn't wear it out.
  5:56pm
monica:

lovely show today, irene. i forgot how beautiful that version of "greensleeves" is.
  2:55pm
Phil Genevieve:

Thanks for playing our song on your show Irene :)

We all hail from Scotland but we're not women (though Kenny, our singer can be a bit of a wifie sometimes!) :P We'll let it slide though as i think that's the first time we've ever been on the radio and we appreciate the chance to be heard by your listeners.

Thanks again and warmest Christmas regards

Phil (Genevieve)
