Listener comments!

  9:18am Jack:

Morning, Bob! Hope you're having good holidays.
As always, thanks for all the wonderful music.
  10:06am Manny:

The latest remastered version of King Crimson - In The Wake Of Poseidon has the single version of "Cat Food" and a bonus "Groon" as well.
  10:10am Sam:

FYI, the current CD edition of "In The Wake of Poseidon" DOES include the "Cat Food" single edit as well as the "Groon" B-side...
  10:13am nondairykramer:

Great song, Bob!
  10:54am jee:

  6:16pm miketp:

like the crimso chatter bob.
  12:48pm Dave Heasman:

More hot jazz. Thanks Bob. Steven Bernstein's Millennial Territory Orchestra is an odd sound. Have you heard the Anachronic Jazz Band? From France, they play bebop standards in the style of Jean Goldkette or early Whiteman. Great fun.
  1:35pm Dave Heasman:

re Tippett - Jeff Clyne just died. Bit obscure for a retrospective, but he was very good and played on a lot of records
  1:51pm Dave Heasman:

The Ike Quebec sounds as if he's channelling Prez, and the piano player sounds like he's channelling Basie. Who's on guitar?
  2:16pm Dave Heasman:

Also dying in the Fairport smash was Jeannie "The Tailor" Franklyn, after whom the Jack Bruce album was named..
  9:09am Bob B:

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the info. & questions.

Re: Ike Quebec:
Personnel is:
Ike Quebec (ts) Johnny Guarnieri (p)
Bill De Arango (g) Milt Hinton (b)
J.C. Heard (d)

Re: Jeff Clyne. I didn't know he passed on.
Here's a very thorough obit:
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/obituaries/article6932099.ece
I'll try to dig up more recordings he's part of.

I never heard of the Anachronic Jazz Band.
I checked out a few of their Youtubes. Yardbird Suite has one of the greatest recorder solos I've ever seen/heard.
Fun stuff. Thanks for the tip!
