Listener comments!

  3:04pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

Holy time shift, Batman! Seems odd to have the theme park theme playing on broad daylight like this. Happy New Year.
  3:05pm
Meghan:

Ha! I know! It's equally odd for me too! But not complaining!
  3:05pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

Hello. I've never heard your show before. I'll stick around and check it out. Good start, though!
  3:06pm
Meghan:

Aww thanks! I hope you shouldn't be disappointed!
  3:07pm
Dave B:

PART 2?!?

Hallelujah!
  3:08pm
Meghan:

I had so much, I figured I should get those in that I didn't get in last Thursday!
  3:09pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

  3:09pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

...oh...
  3:09pm
Dave B:

  3:11pm
Meghan:

Nope we are on the air as well...
  3:13pm
Dave B:

Keep it clean....
  3:14pm
Hugh:

Meghan,
Happy New Year! I've never heard your show before, but "the HAGGERS?" I absolutely loved Hee Haw, one of the best variety shows ever produced, sssoooo corny! But the Hagger twins were so freakin wholesome, they were almost talented! Never heard them on air before. There's always a first!
  3:19pm
Stuart Troutman:

?...England Dan & John Ford Coley??...gag...70s drivel at its nadir.
  3:19pm
Lizardner Dave:

Happy to be hearing you live!
  3:19pm
Swami:

Oh ma gawd! Holy 8th grade flashback! Which one passed? England Dan or John Ford? Both? I had this 45 and it always skipped on the chorus, never ending. I always here that skip. . .
  3:20pm
Steve G:

Monkeys on Xanax Rule!

OOH OOH AAAH AAAH monkey theme show? I'll check back.
  3:20pm
Terry:

Why does this song make me think of 70's divorces?
  3:20pm
Cheri Pi:

Is this time slot permanent or a one off? I'm glad I tuned in!
  3:20pm
Swami:

Hear , dammit.
  3:20pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

it's better than Sentenced! I had a blast playing Tony Orlando & Dawn on New Year's Eve for the kids. They loved it when I sped up the record then used my thumb to slow it down.
  3:23pm
Dave B:

:-D
  3:26pm
Meghan:

Just a simple fill in... will be on Thursday as well! Normal time slot
  3:29pm
Steve G:

Meghan,

Do you have something against monkeys? If not then they would make a good one word theme show, no?
  3:30pm
Meghan:

I agree Steve. I already plan on doing a monkey theme in the future!
  3:33pm
Stuart Troutman:

you gotta be kidding...this is wretched...disco Lightfoot?
who told her she could sing?
  3:35pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

Will "Monkeys Versus Robots" make it into the monkey theme?
  3:36pm
Meghan:

But OF COURSE! That song is so much fun! I could never leave it out of the mix!
  3:37pm
Dave B:

"Chim Chim's Badassed Revenge" - Fishbone...
  3:43pm
stuart:

oh please, this is painful...
  3:45pm

  3:52pm

  4:20pm
Carmichael:

Ricky Medlock's dead?!?
  4:20pm
Meghan:

Sad thing about this list.... Main cause of death is cancer. Natural cause of death was very low on the list
  4:27pm
Yeroc:

This Rashied Ali is the only melodic part of my day. Unless in chaos there really is a melody. Thanks for it!
  4:29pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

  4:30pm

santi:

The Kinks died?
  4:50pm
Carmichael:

I could hear you snickering off-mic .... :-)

Anon, you should watch Point Break. You get the bonus of Keanu Reeves.
  4:50pm
Meghan:

Ahhhh thanks for the clarification Mac! And thanks!
  4:57pm
AnAnonymousParty:

@ Carmichael

"the bonus of Keanu Reeves" ... wow, that's a phrase you don't get to use often. Well done!
  5:01pm
Mac (not FMU Mac):

I raise your Keanu and add a George and a Steve.
  5:02pm
AnAnonymousParty:

Hey, I just found there's a Rifftrax for 'Point Break', guess I'll be going through my couch cushions to find 3 bucks for that.

"Not since Chicken Fried Steak met Country Gravy has there been such a dynamic pairing as Patrick “Forever Lulu” Swayze and Keanu “Permanent Record” Reeves"

Nice Sirone track!
  5:20pm

Just tuned in. Yeah, that Sirone was great. And so is this Maserati.

Dang, I missed the Orb. Who died in the Orb? Glad I missed Lynryd Skynyrd, Bread, and whatever got the "70s drivel at its nadir" comment, though.
  5:20pm
Feral Cat:

Doing great Meghan!
  5:21pm
Meghan:

hmmmm don't remember.... there has been a lot of 70's drivel...lol

Thanks Feral!
  5:23pm
Kevin in BayRidge:

Damn! No Mark-Almond reunion on this mortal coil! Beautiful song, what fusion should've been. Have it on an early 70's sampler.
  5:24pm
Carmichael:

Johnny Almond, right? Is this a trick question?
  5:27pm
Mac (not FMU Mac):

Ah... it is good to be reminded that "Love is a many splintered thing"
Change my Ed McMahon Ho-Hos to Boo-Hoos
  5:35pm
Listener James from Westwood:

Oh man, by virtue of this BB&THC cut being the lead tune on the "Fear and Loathing in LV" soundtrack, now I'm really jonesing for a Vegas trip!
  5:40pm
Dave B:

Meghan - thanks for giving Bea and Rock airtime. Lemme know if any of the stuff sent doesn't work. I might need to convert them. See ya Thursday!
  5:50pm
Todd 76%:

Enjoying the show, Meghan! Don't see the great George Russell on either of your 'deadplay' lists, though...
  5:57pm
Meghan:

Ahhh yes, I didn't get him... so much to cover, so little time. Sorry!
  5:59pm
Steve from Scenic Gowanus:

If that was the Crystals, then I'm Darlene Love. And I'm not. If you really took that off of a "Greatest Hits," then you was robbed. (Maybe it was a collection of re-recordings.) Anyway, cf "The Crystals Greatest Hits" on Phil Spector label. Good show all the same!
  7:33pm
miketp:
