  11:15pm
scott:

man.that frontera was massive.
  11:17pm
Bill Mac:

I'm diggin it. It's good to be back!
  11:26pm
scott:

after I heard the name bill mac,i thought of that dj in dallas who had a show for truckers in the wee hours of the morning in the 70s.
i was wrong.
  11:32pm
Bill mac:

You're referring to my evil twin....
  11:37pm
scott:

no,
i
hear
the
resemblance.
  11:40pm
Bill Mac:

You'll most likely hear more of it. Lotsa 70's reissues in the new pile this week
  11:44pm
scott:

nice.

we can't get enough of the seventies.
thank you, bill
  11:46pm
will:

At last, a Doug Fieger tribute. Please play a cut by Doug's faux Brit rock band SKY if you can (2 LPs on RCA).
  11:46pm
Steve:

70's - 1976 - Jethro Tull - Too Old To Rock 'N' Roll Too Young To Die - Crazed Intitution
  11:51pm
Taylor:

Did FMU get the CD reissue of Devil's Anvil "Hard Rock from the Middle East" (1967)? "Selim Alai" recommended
  11:55pm
?:

No offense, but didn't the Knack do any other songs? "Sharona" = the most pervasive earworm imaginable. I bet the classic rawk stations are now pumping it 7x/day, up from 3x/day.

YES! Ngozi Family! Awesome.
  11:56pm
Bill Mac:

We've received some really nice Middle Eastern psyche over the last couple years. I'll have to keep an eye open for that one
  11:57pm
Ike:

Oops, sorry, failed to ID my bitchy self.
  11:58pm
Bill Mac:

I know what you mean about My Sharona. I grew up with that song when it was a hit. it's the only Knack song I like however
  11:58pm
scott:

dang.Ike.How could you?
  12:03am
Ike:

Very easily, Scott. (Is that TX Scott? What happened to Texas?) I hope the rest of the Knack lives to be 175 just so I don't have to hear that song repeatedly again soon on any of my fave stations.
  12:06am
scott:

thanks for the Get Smarter, bill mac.
you are fmu worthy.start pushin' your weight around

Ike. yes tx scott, just wanted to shorten it.
just like distant cousins.
  12:06am
Ike:

Woah, nice Butthole > Beefheart segue.
  12:08am
Bill Mac:

I appreciate the even handed criticism/praise that you guys are doling out. Keeps me honest
  12:09am
butthole surfer:

i resent that.
  12:30am
Tom ( The Bactrian Support Network ):

wow that's one I've not dusted off in a LONG time *This Was* always like Mick Abrams playing,,, and "Cuckoo" one of the best "unknown" Tull numbers and you seem to agree too Bill ? being a Tull fan or .. not...
  12:38am
Bill Mac:

I I've had as much exposure to Tull as most fans did. They were as pervasive a Bowie or Zeppelin back in the day, but their formative material holds up better than the baroque style classic stuff.
  1:03am

Cara Mia

Steve:

Great show, as always, and a little bit of education too; But, don't you love the drumming off the track I mentioned. I live for that stuff. Thanks, see you during the pledge drive.
