Favoriting Brian Turner: Playlist from April 27, 2010 Favoriting

Order and disorder in a freeform haze of terribly-played guitars, shorted-out electronics, found audio detritus, strange sounds from strange lands all around. Psych-punk-junk, collage, even pop. Lots of in-studio live performances to boot.

Brian! You were in my dream last night - I was handing you some old punk zines with crude cartoony faces on them . One may have had an article by Chris T.

Weird that you played that K. Gopalnath track today, Mr. Turner. Heard that in March 2009 on J. Siegel's show, found a note about it yesterday and searched for it online unsuccessfully for at least an hour...where can I find that?
  3:59pm
BT:

Hey Todd, I think Jason got it from Arrington DeDionyso --- who gave the OK to put a couple tracks up on the FMU blog. Killer stuff.

Empty Shapes sound like what Faust would sound like if they formed in downtown NYC in the late 70's/early 80's rather then a hippy commune in the late 60's/early 70's in Germany.
  4:28pm
Dan:

I really dig it, will be looking for it so i can harmonize it w/in my dj sets. I'm not familiar w/ Mid-to-late recs, who's label is that?
