hhmmm. gluten-free suggests no grains ... in the strictests sense of the defuinition, then maybe no, cause the hogs may have been fed any sort of gluten flour or grain... soo how technical do you want to get?

The issue is smoke flavor. There is gluten in smoke flavor. So is there smoke-flavor in bacon, or is bacon just smoked? I realized after I got my breakfast that I didn't know the origin of this bacon, I always know what bacon I'm eating at home...

aahh!!! i forgot about the smoke-flavor!! smoke flavor is usually how it's prepared now, so to cut down on the process of actually smoking it.. so, the terminology to look for would be "flavored" or "smoked". yup i bet you're right. avoid it
