Listener comments!

  3:14am
Derek B:

Hello (hello, hello) is there anybody in here? Just type if you can read me, is there anyone home?
  3:14am
Matt from Springfield:

Like this Ergo Phizmiz, reminds me of the Bonzo Dog Band!
  3:15am
dan in Falls Church VA:

still here Derek.
  3:15am
Matt from Springfield:

Can you hear me Derek B?
Can you hear me Derek B?
Can you hear me Derek (ad infinitum)
  3:17am
Bill Mac:

Everyone is here then.... all four of us...
  3:18am
Matt from Springfield:

Four of us, so we could be either grand like the Beatles, or else weird like characters in a one-act existential play.
  3:19am
Steve:

Make that five..
Hey you're back on the schedule for fall. I do look forward to your shows; no one plays a wider variety
  3:19am
RAJ:

  3:22am
dan in Falls Church VA:

Yes Entrance
  3:23am
Matt from Springfield:

"The Rapture Encloses".

I actually improv-ed that very title as a play name once.
  3:24am
Bill Mac:

Funny, the title of tonite's show was lifted from a comedy sketch called "Wipe the Blood Off My Toga"... YES ENTRANCE? Intahrestin..... I'm likin Matt's too
  3:25am
Derek B:

WFMCamus? Now that's a t-shirt right there!
  3:25am
Julie:

wow do you people sleep?
  3:26am
Matt from Springfield:

Signor Nino Rota! Know which movie this was from?
  3:27am
Matt from Springfield:

@Julie: Maybe it's the Recession and some people having nothing to do, but there are listener names I see on Archive playlists that are present in practically all 168 hours of the week!
  3:28am
Bill Mac:

Hey D, get a sketch together and send it in... and I'm guessing we don't sleep tonite.... The Rota Piece is from a 1955 Fellini release called Il Bidone.
  3:28am
Derek B:

@Julie, I want to sleep but sleep doesn't want to descend just yet - thank goodness for you lot!
  3:28am
jamesie:

hello from my kindle .......
  3:29am
Julie:

@Matt how the heck do they do that? Me, I'm trying to adjust to vampire hours. Although I don't plan on staying up till 6 tonight.
  3:30am
Julie:

I'm only here because I'm comment-board stalking Matt
  3:30am
Derek B:

@Bill, will do :)
  3:30am
Julie:

hello jamesie
  3:30am
Bill Mac:

Yowsa Jamesie
  3:30am
Julie:

OOOh I love Prince Rama. saw them live on 7SD
  3:31am
Bill Mac:

I gotta see them next time they come out, unless they're always touring....
  3:31am
Matt from Springfield:

Thanks Bill!

@Julie: Hmm, Irwin's show, Joe's show, the show right after Joe's show...it all makes sense now!
And yes, I remember Prince Rama as well, amazing stuff!
  3:32am
esch oder anarchie:

This makes insomnia almost better than sleeping.
  3:33am
Matt from Springfield:

@esch: Your comment should be one of the slogans on the homepage!
  3:33am
Derek B:

"Hell is other radio stations", put that on the back - that's a paraphrase of Jean Paul's line though. Merde!! So close.
  3:34am
Julie:

@Matt I used to stalk Ike but I think I scared him ;)
  3:35am
Derek B:

Prince Rama like it!
  3:35am
Julie:

makes a note to hunt down Prince Rama in the library
  3:35am
jamesie:

  3:36am
Julie:

  3:37am
Derek B:

  3:38am
Julie:

  3:39am
Matt from Springfield:

  3:39am

Hi Ike! Goodnight Ike (hmm he knew I was talking about him, we have that kinda connection)
  3:40am
Steve:

3-6 shows work for me in California, pacific time makes it 12-3
  3:41am
Julie:

Yay for California!
  3:42am
martynx:

  3:42am
osvi:

Best Coast, represent! Keeping, the Saturday night rolling, Bill...
  3:43am
Julie:

Joe said 3-6 was kinda dead, and he was on Saturdays..
  3:44am
Julie:

I love the name of this show
  3:45am
Derek B:

Nice flow Bill, really digging this, fits this damned insomnia like a gold-encrusted, velvet-lined, customized ear bud.
  3:45am
Julie:

I wanna know why there are ears in the bag
  3:46am
Bill Mac:

The overnights are kind of schizo, but every once in a while you get a nutty night like tonight.... you always have the folks on the west coast and across the pond listening, not to mention the east coast faithful. it's a beautiful thing!
  3:48am
Julie:

I figure no one wants to stay up late on a Monday night, even me ;)
  3:51am
Steve:

It works nicely with the "dark soul" theme of your show though
  3:53am
Bill Mac:

OK Julie, go back to a show I did on Dec 8, 2003. it was a trib to my Dad. during the program I played a skit my Dad and his pals did called "Wipe the Blood off My Toga". It was a spoof on the murder of Julius Caeser. At one point the detective questions Marc Antony who goes into the "Friends Romans and Countryman, lend me your ears" thing. The detective then asks him what's in the bag... you can guess the rest.... it's pretty funny...eh, maybe you had to be there....
  3:54am
Julie:

Bill :) I don't know how you people play music and work the playlist and the comment board, and manage to change channels in time.. I swear it's like plate-spinning
  3:55am
Julie:

when I think of ears I think of Blue Velvet
  3:55am
Bill Mac:

I think it helps me to stay sharp.... and there's a movie I have to revisit
  3:56am
Julie:

good point you don't want to get TOO into the music
  3:57am
Julie:

do you sleep all day Bill?
  3:59am
Bill Mac:

I try not to... I wouldn't do this if it was gonna kill my weekend
  4:00am
Julie:

yeah I'm hoping a midday nap will get me through the night.
  4:00am
jamesie:

this colour screen is a challenge for us monochrome kindlers
  4:01am
Julie:

did everyone else go to bed?
  4:02am
Julie:

I like this color scheme!
  4:03am
Matt from Springfield:

I myself am about to conk out about now, but I didn't know Adrian Belew, Robert Fripp, Tony Levin were all in an incarnation of King Crimson!
  4:04am
Julie:

yep I'm going to bed myself. Well, I'm actually already in bed..but you know what I mean :)
  4:06am
Matt from Springfield:

Hmm, nice to know! Sure will check that out!
Good night Bill! G'night Julie and everyone, and hello to the upcoming next wave!

  4:28am
michael:

we`re doing fine. Bela is 17 month we`re back in Life. Going to see Grinderrman in October and listening to music. It`s a bit work to get back again, buying records. But we got some good ones by Sam Amidon, ,some old Black Flag Vinyl, Eddie Currant Supression Ring. Nice to know youre back on a weekly show. You`re other Job`s done, or cancelled ?
  4:34am
Bill Mac:

I got Grinderman in the pile... maybe next hour, is that Cave's new band? I thought I might have related the job story too many times, but I'm happy to tell you.. I got a new job back near home (only 7 miles!), so no more trekking 80 miles to Bayonne to work everyday. I'll only be driving up here to do the show, which is really great.
  4:40am
Richard D from home in Hell:

Love Houston, penned by Hazlewood, but song by Dean Martin. Martin has hundreds of hits I just heard after get vinyl at a yard sale. Sadly missed Dino.
  4:49am
michael:

Yes, it`s one of caves "bands". In that way we also love the tunes on "the Jeffrey lee pierce session projekt CD". Thank you for Lee Hazelwood..., all of the last wave was a compact intercultural flash. Now we went out to the playground. Seems to be a good and last worm Sunday. We`ll be back in the archives and of course next saturday. Enjoy, and a lot of interesting comments. Michael and Birgit
  4:55am
