Listener comments!

  3:07pm
Jeff M:

Spooky. But, let's face it, not as spooky as Christmas music.

Which is not in any way to be construed as a hope you'll go there.
  3:11pm
raga:

my simpsons 365-day desk calendar neglects to inform me that it is, in fact, all saint's day.
  3:11pm
Jeff M:

ALL of them?
  3:12pm

  3:30pm
dc pat:

  3:33pm
Scott:

Y'all already know the one recut as a father-son tearjerker called "Shining", right?
  3:38pm
Parq:

Seen a few of those remix trailers (West Side Story as a zombie apocalypse flick, The Parent Trap as a lesbian coming-of-age picture), but that "Shining" one is still the best. Peter Gabriel's "Solsbury Hill" on the soundtrack, yet. Perfect.
  3:39pm
Mike East:

I also saw Back to the Future as Brokeback mountain in that same batch.
  3:40pm
Skirkie:

It's Catholic Halloween.
  3:42pm

  4:59pm
Scott:

Dunno, maybe - Bill Kelly sure plays it alot. Coming soon is something that was on an awesome Mita! premium frmo a few years back, a video nasty.
  5:04pm

Jimmy DeLuxe:

Great show today. Outstanding work.
  11:15am
marq:

missed the show live again. listening to archive. some of this stuff you are playing, scott is actually scary. almost got arrested on halloween for scaring the crap out of some teenagers in my scary clown lucha libre mask and suit. someone called the cops because it was too scary. I was also a little tipsy and running around the neighborhood. I was able to make it home as the cops chased me and they were ok as long as my wife made me stay inside.
  12:18pm
marq:

I have my underground studio lair set up with very great and big speakers for wfmu and for Diane's show. No way I could listen with tiny computer speakers to anything. So don't worry about that breaking your heart, Scott. The stream goes through my receiver and then to big speakers. It sounds pretty good. But definitely not like live. And we celebrate the time of year from the 30th through the 2nd because of day of the dead. so you are not off by doing this on the day after halloween.
  12:39pm
marq:

Making comments here even though nobody will probably ever read them. This is a really good show, Scott. Truly bringing out some scary stuff. Halloween and this time of year just isn't the same as it used to be when I was a kid. It used to be ok to be scared and scary on haloween. Now people call the cops on a deranged and insane wrestler clown in a suit running around the neighborhood scaring the crap out of people.
  12:48pm
marq:

Now that I dwell on it some more. It could be a problem that I was doing this halloween stunt in a small city in Vermont. In other places i may have been joined by other brave souls and not by the cops. nobody I know here in VT is brave enough to do anything at all weird and unusual, except some the ubiquitous wanna be hippies that seem to fit more with a confused version of what they think vaudeville was.
  12:49pm
bleppo:

hey scott. i love your music. wundervoll.
the artist of "come wander with me" is jeff alexander - i know this song from a mixtape by air, called late night tales.
greetings from berlin.
  2:37pm
marq:

Hey, bleppo: I like this thing about keeping a playlist listener comment alive. So fitting for day of the dead.
  12:22pm
Marisa:

Scott . Love the shows. I have listening through a number of older files on line. Noticed over the years - People Like Us, Kenny G & co have reguarly played Scratch My Nose tracks. Not much on-line or available - except some old MySpace page with shows from WFMU. Do you know if these ever got released? M
