Listener comments!

  9:03pm
Dave M:

Evening, folks.
  9:15pm
domenic M:

Evening Dave

my speakers
and me
are glad to hear you tonight
  9:16pm
Dave M:

Hey Domenic. Thanks.
  9:23pm
Little Nipper's Descendent:

What's the golden globe?
  9:26pm
fleep:

The golden globes are attached to Scarlett Johansson.
  9:27pm
Curtis:

You seem like a terribly nice chap.
Do feel free to critique Brian Eno: "Brian Eno: What Does He Know,
What Does He Know?!"...
  9:30pm
j mangum:

if i am a false teeth trumpet telling fortunes, then whose
nose am i pulling to protect the wind from words?
  9:41pm
Parq:

The Who on Fmoo -- the wonder of it all. Dave, I still recall your John Entwhistle obit show.
  9:48pm
ScottC:

I knew that "Summertime Blues" sounded different. I thought it was that I had never heard anything but "Live At Leeds".
  9:52pm
Dave M:

ScottC: Yeah, it's a studio version. Not sure why it was never released. It's very good.

Parq: You have a good memory. I was a bass player for many years and worshipped John Entwistle when I was a kid. Had to do something when he died.
  9:56pm
Dave M:

Curtis: I'm unbelievably nice. I was only half-serious about Eno, but I do think he's rarely matched anything he did up through the early '80s.
  10:09pm
Parq:

Dave, I had a feeling you were a bassist. I was, too, but I wasn't any good. We're talking Sid Vicious. Aren't you a drummer, too?
  10:21pm
Dave M:

I've always dabbled in drums, but bass was my real instrument. I play drums w/the FMU band.
  10:27pm
osvi:

What up, Dave? Nice to hear ya...
  10:29pm
Dave M:

Hey Osvi. How's it going?
  10:40pm
trrs:

good sunday radio night to one and all.
  10:42pm
Dave M:

Hi trrs.
  10:55pm
listener gary:

Nice to hear you hit and miss every sunday. Best regards...
  10:58pm
Dave M:

Thanks, Gary. Yeah, I've done a flurry of Sundays recently. No predicting when it's going to happen.
  10:58pm
Martha:

Great show - as usual!
  11:00pm
Dave M:

*The* Martha? Thanks, just trying to take good care of your show.
  11:01pm
cheri:

happy 2011 dave,,i know this is off topic but whose your fave actress?? my fave actress is MILA KUNIS,,, i think she's really cewwwwl and sooo under rated.. do you agree dave??
  11:11pm
Dave M:

Hi Cheri. Hmmm...I don't really have a favorite actress.
  11:17pm
cheri:

well dave i got to head out now,,i'm sorry,,,i have to get up early i loved the show,,see you soon.. g'night!
  11:19pm
cheri:

thnx for the tunes dave
  11:19pm
Dave M:

Thanks! Night.
  11:20pm
hinkydinky:

I'm hearing bits of "Pied Piper" in this.
  11:21pm
Dave M:

It's actually a Zappa tune, but yeah, this version does sound kind of fairy-ish.
  11:22pm
hinkydinky:

I mean actual bits of the melody of the Cispian St. Peters tune.
  11:23pm
hinkydinky:

Crispian
  11:23pm
cheri:

but before i go,,dave do you like mila kunis??
  11:23pm
Dave M:

Oh, gotcha.
  11:24pm
Dave M:

Cheri: Sorry, I don't think I know who she is.
  11:32pm
Ike:

This Cancelled track is great. Way better than Mila Kunis. It's also way better than "Cheri"/Ozzy's eternal Mila Kunis fixation.
  11:37pm
Dave M:

I now realize who Mila is. I'm barely familiar with her. Haven't seen Black Swan yet.
  11:44pm
wmc:

Thanks for the Concert Impromptu/Bossini Zappa track -- I wasn't familiar with that record. The Ambrosius and Omnibus FZ tribute albums are a couple of my favorites -- I'll be on the lookout for this one.
  11:47pm
Dave M:

Yeah, that one's pretty good. An odd lineup of instruments for Zappa material, but it works.
  11:50pm
wmc:

some quick googling indicates you've got the album title and artist(s) switched...?

The Ensemble Ambrosius FZ album is really fantastic, and even weirder instrumentation -- FZ played on baroque instruments.
  11:51pm
cheri:

ike---whats this bloody fixation of thinkin i'm a guy!?!??!? i'm a 100% woman!!!
  11:53pm
Dave M:

You're right. I reversed them. Thanks!
