Listener comments!

  12:09pm Bluesman:

Hey Joe, I'm snowed in and working from home today (and a rare listen to yer show "real time." Did the Insomniacs make it in???
  12:10pm Joe B:

Hey Blues! a captive audience! yes, they made it - last Sunday! set airing around 1:30 pm
  12:11pm glenn:

misheard lyric time - i thought he was singing "a major 13" there for a second.
  12:12pm Parq:

And the second slice of Belok-Rock completes the sandwich. How ya feeling, Joe? How many hours awake is it now?
  12:17pm Joe B:

hangin in parq, thanks for tunin in again!
  12:18pm Maryann D:

You're the best Joe! I can't believe you're doing this awesome marathon today. God bless. I'm streaming live. Looking forward to The Insomniacs.
  12:23pm Emily:

this song is awesome!
  12:29pm candi's flipped:

WOW! this station really is station of the year for me. only came across it over the past few months. keep on keeping on
love from london
candi's flipped xx
  12:31pm Cecile:

Great show(s), Joe!
  12:38pm Parq:

Candi's, as a three-decade listener, I can tell you that you will remember the day you found this station as your lucky day.
  12:40pm CheriPi:

JB pt. Deux!!!
  12:40pm touni:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA - greetings from Croatia, thanxxx early Humpers!!! One of the best bands, ever!
  12:40pm CheriPi:

Candi=welcome to your new improved life.
  12:41pm Steve L:

All Belock. All the time.
  12:41pm Cecile:

And your smaller bank account...
  12:43pm dc pat:

hey folks. Ain't listening today--working at a ZBurger because no power at the house and I forgot earphones. I know it must be rockin though...
  12:44pm CheriPi:

DCP=several of us have been overcome by the RAWK already- it's pretty strong today.
  12:45pm dc pat:

crap. I have stereo frying things and young Republicans ordering turkey burgers with bacon....
  12:47pm candi's flipped:

do you have young republicans in america? i always thought you had to be an ageing nazi, like the conservatives over here?
  12:48pm Parq:

Oh, Candi's, you have no idea. Selfishness and xenophobia are alive and well among US kids.
  12:50pm Cecile:

ah, Matt Smith, you talented cuss.
  12:51pm candi's flipped:

lol well, let's hope dcpat gives some extra ingredients to those turkey burgers ;)
  12:51pm candi's flipped:

lol well, let's hope dcpat gives some extra ingredients to those turkey burgers ;)
  12:51pm Listener Jumpy:

Is there some way to hear this? Seem every 4th time I put on iTunes for FMU, there's no sound. Unlike other stations...
  12:54pm dc pat:

most of the conservatives around these parts are too dim to actually have a formal political philosophy like Naziism. They just vote for whomever their rich parents tell them to.
  12:56pm dc pat:

man, I can feeeeeellll the rawk, just can't hear it... oh well, see you later...
  12:57pm Cecile:

I grew up in the "smaller but necessary government, Teddy Roosevelt is cool" Republicanism. This stuff now is not the GOP I once knew. That changed with Nixon, and the rise of the Moral Majority - when the GOP decided winning by any means necessary was the most important thing. I consider myself a liberaltarian, or a "by your bootstraps" liberal.
  12:57pm candi's flipped:

all the best pat!
  12:57pm Nate in Detroit:

Nice little Detroit set, Joe! Keep it rolling - up next, The Sights??
  1:04pm mike tp:

shoveled snow fellon my tailbone ready for rock
  1:06pm mike tp:

the muffs and the humpers great band names
  1:07pm Bluesman:

Joe you be hittin' the Muffs at Maxwells Sat night? My rare night out.
  1:09pm Parq:

@ Jumpy, 12:51 - try the beta Flash player. I have great luck with that. it evne works on my strangely Orweilain work puter, which won't run any of the other streams.
  1:09pm Joe B:

wish i could go - Paul Collins too! have you seen him lately? he is kicking ass
  1:10pm Parq:

Free download of the new Paul Collins single on the Boing Boing blog.
  1:12pm Really:

Great show today. That's all I have to say.
  1:13pm Bluesman:

Boo! wish we could hang. Paul's "KOPP" CD is my number one new release of 2010 (Sorrows made #1 for earlier recorded stuff). My kids play air guitar like crazy monkeys when it hits the CD player. The kids know whats good, eh?
  1:13pm Parq's Work Puter:

I heard that. And archived it for IT review.
  1:18pm Parq:

Dear puter: I was only funning. Kissy kissy. Open your DVD bay and I will give you some ice cream.
  1:19pm hdsl:

really digging your show. i'm new to it and am psyched to explore the archives.
  1:21pm Parq's Work Puter:

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....................

Forget I said anything, hunnybunny, and tickle me some more while you're at it.
  1:23pm Joe B:

cool, thanks HDSL, and everyone else!
  1:25pm dc pat:

cecile: you said it, the political spectrum/debate has shifted farfarfar to the right. The lunatics have won and we let them. Take gun control for instance, the NRA completely controls the debate and everyone's afraid of them. How'd this happen? Oh well, back to rock.
  1:26pm Listener Jumpy in Brooklyn:

Thanks, Parq.
  1:31pm Max:

Buries in sunshine in Tampa, FL!
  1:38pm Really:

The live set hath murder'd sleep, and therefore Belock
Shall sleep no more; listeners shall sleep no more.'
  1:47pm Small Pharma:

Ambien-Free Zone!!!!!!!
  1:47pm Nate in Detroit:

Wow, I could have sworn that Ted Leo was the singer for this band.
  1:47pm Really:

At the risk of sounding boring,
SOUNDS AWE AND AWERSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!
F#@$%ING GREAT SONGS AND SOUNDING GREAT GREAT GREAT!!
  1:49pm channeling George Romero:

Day of the Living Insomniacs!
  1:51pm channeling Cesar Romero:

CRASH! BANG! Each better than the last!
Curses you caped crusaders!
Capes?!
  1:52pm Listeners:

  2:14pm Jeff from Rahway:

That Steve Wynn record was one of my 2010 favorites.
  2:22pm Johnny Gato:

I love the upgrade that let's me stream to my AirPort speakers from the app
  2:26pm Listener Jumpy in Brooklyn:

A Fool in Love is my new fave.
  2:32pm Parq:

Johnny G, yeah. I have that too, and it's great. I wish I could get Youtube audio to do that.
  2:37pm Johnny Gato:

I like this jangly Limañanas w/VU drums
  2:38pm Johnny Gato:

Parq I wish the NPR app did it too
  2:44pm Really:

Those owls have made a nest for themselves under my sternum.
