Listener comments!

  12:06am
Marmalade Kitty:

Hi Woody, love you too!
  12:17am
Marmalade Kitty:

Oh my God that can't be the time! I'm glued to all this groovey stuff.. damn it!
  12:28am
Marmalade Kitty:

The internet is an amazing human tool. You can surf on wonderfulness, communicate.. or dredge the depths of depravity
  12:29am
Woody:

No depravity here! Just good times, great oldies, "quiet storm" voice, etc etc...
  12:30am
fleep:

How about just a little depravity. Happy depravity.
  12:33am
Marmalade Kitty:

depravity is never happy, fleep. psychotic maybe..
  12:37am
Woody:

'Depravity" implies a moral stance. WFMU seems more about a relativistic world view.
  12:37am
Marmalade Kitty:

psychotic pop.. Grammy!
  12:38am
fleep:

i'm speaking of depravity under controlled conditions, among consenting parties, but maybe you are correct, they never do seem happy, even with all the equipment
  12:40am
Marmalade Kitty:

wht kind of equipment are you speaking of?
  12:42am
fleep:

the restraining thingies, the thingies what probe, the hurtie thingies, the shiny thingies. not to mention refreshments.
  12:50am
Woody:

Soooooooo, who else out there is rocking out with WFMU for late night v-day?
  12:53am
Woody:

That question is sorta like Brian Lehrer (on WNYC) asked on his show today to call in if you were in a long distance relationship with someone you've never met (only facebook, WOW, etc.)... didn't hear anyone then either! :)
  12:55am
Marmalade Kitty:

I don't have any of these thingies.. I suppose, sounds like fun, as long as there are guidelines, and contracts?
  12:58am
fleep:

Guidelines, contracts, release words. Not that I have them either, I just surf the net ;)
  1:02am
Marmalade Kitty:

Wow, cyber life is so... sad! :( come on people! whats up w/ ya? MEET PEOPLE.. we are animal! not cyborgs!! I may be wrong..?
  1:06am
fleep:

Cyber life is how I get to hear WFMU, cyber life has people meeting and getting married, it's just a tool, it's how you use it. And after a certain number, people start to repeat, a decent sample is all you need. (Great show, Woody! Keep it comin)
  1:06am
Marmalade Kitty:

..said I sitting in front of t'internet with a bucket over my head!
  1:08am
Marmalade Kitty:

I think you're right, it's a tool no more. But you have to worry about cyber freaks becoming isolated deluded nuts!!
  1:09am
Marmalade Kitty:

..said I sitting naked with a bag over my head!!
  1:11am
Julie:

Naked with a bag over your head? I thought I was the only one!
  1:11am
Marmalade Kitty:

..sorry.. I'm being silly1
  1:12am
Julie:

Of course...umm...no bag here either ..ahem
  1:13am
Marmalade Kitty:

There are legions of us.. Oh, I have forfeited my club doodahs!
  1:14am
Woody:

After I DJ, I go get a bucket of Kennedy Fried Chicken and some cheap Polish beer. Many a Tues morning, I've awoken to the bucket on head.
  1:18am
Marmalade Kitty:

Woody, I have besmirched your comment board with decadence and depravity! please forgive me!
  1:20am
Julie:

Woody has come out as a buckethead! Welcome Woody to our small, depraved society.
  1:21am
Yair Yona:

G'Morning from Tel Aviv, Woody and everyone!
  1:22am
Marmalade Kitty:

..I'm five hoors ahead of you!
  1:25am
Woody:

Tonetta = depravity
  1:25am
Marmalade Kitty:

That should be prenounced Oowas..
  1:28am
Marmalade Kitty:

did fleep just.. up and leave..?
  1:30am
fleep:

i was practicing depraved oral hygiene with mad debauched flossing and a slug of listerine, neat
  1:33am
Marmalade Kitty:

That was a larf.. I mean really! I was rolling around on the floor, you had to see it!! ..well actually, I chuckled a bit without rolling ahhaha
  1:37am
Yair Yona:

08:37am in Tel Aviv. past valentine.
  1:37am
Marmalade Kitty:

Valentines is so sweet if you are in love; but so contrived, and plastic if you have no one
  1:38am
Julie:

Eh It's contrived and plastic either way.
  1:39am
Marmalade Kitty:

Thats what I meant..! yep
  1:41am
Julie:

The emotional wedgie is just worse when you're single
  1:43am
Marmalade Kitty:

I know what it's all about. I used to own a chain of toy/flouristry shops.. Depraved business!
  1:45am
Woody:

I do like the 3rd grade version of Valentines Day, with everyone giving each other candy and cards, many of them home made
  1:46am
Julie:

Yep that's the way
  1:47am
Marmalade Kitty:

Sorry, It's not quite the same without the plastic
  1:48am
Julie:

it's harder to make things out of plastic :(
  1:50am
Marmalade Kitty:

emotional entanglements always earn more plastic.. Don't be fooled! homemade is always more
  1:52am
Marmalade Kitty:

but people never seem to learn!
  1:55am
fleep:

i watch the other males at the market trying to pick out flowers, they have no idea, they look lost and fretful, it's obligatory mandatory emotional blackmail. that goes for most holidays. grumpgrumpgrump
  1:57am
Marmalade Kitty:

my observation, maybe, an unfair indictment of people! we will evolve! by listening to wfmu and the likes
  2:00am
Marmalade Kitty:

I've got blisters on me fingers! Ahh
  2:04am
Marmalade Kitty:

People try so hard at the last minute, or is it they don't try hard enough generally.. you should know what you want when you see it no fret
  2:06am
Marmalade Kitty:

Poor bastards! no clue! ahaha
  2:10am
Marmalade Kitty:

Right! ..at the MOMENT, I'm living NY Eastern times! Ahaha!!
  2:18am
Marmalade Kitty:

Great tunes Woody! ..I think I'm inspired! In like a withnail and I mission, to stay awake..?..!
  2:19am
Marmalade Kitty:

I have one last glass of wine.. and I'm making time!
  2:26am
fleep:

Someone listened to a lot of Prince
  2:28am
Woody:

Fleep, not sure about the Prince influence, the track was from 1981.
  2:30am
Julie:

Wow Stacy sounding very Madonna there, and I bet that song was pre-Madonna
  2:31am
Julie:

Withnail & I reference! :D
  2:31am
fleep:

Woody, Wiki Sez: Prince had three albums before 81, but maybe I'm just hearing licks from the era
  2:31am
Marmalade Kitty:

..IOh, ..just woke up with a McChicken carton over me head.. 'scuse me!
  2:33am
Woody:

Sure there's the early records, but was Prince a transnational superstar in 1981? Who knows though...
  2:35am
Julie:

MK you are so funny
  2:35am
Marmalade Kitty:

I have a pianist friend.. careful! ..who really digs early prince..??
  2:36am
fleep:

Then Prince lifted stuff from Kris Okotie or maybe it's just the listerine talking
  2:38am
Woody:

Just thinking, why doesn't Prince have a biographical Broadway super-hit like Fela does? Worked for Green Day...
  2:39am
Julie:

ACK I just had a vision of a Glee-ified Purple Rain
  2:40am
Marmalade Kitty:

This tune..EbMaj9 (descent), with the early morning sky looming over me, is quit something!
  2:41am
Julie:

I didn't know listerine could talk
  2:42am
fleep:

it has a very fresh mouth
  2:43am
Listerine:

Hello, yes I can talk, thanks!
  2:44am
Listerine (C):

copyright..?
  2:48am
Listerine (C):

..and trade mark.. umh umh!
  2:49am
Woody:

You mean ©?
  2:51am
Julie:

WOW how did you do that
  2:51am
Woody:

Skills™
  2:52am
Julie:

  2:54am
Marmalade kitty:

Yeah ™©, listerine dumb asses!
  2:56am
