Note: When I initially saw the statue, it was maybe 3pm-ish and it was uncovered. Tourists were gawking, technicians were primping it, glossing it's shoes. Then, after a time, it was covered with silver cloth and I was told there would be a later unveiling. I decided to stick around for the ceremony, thus necessitating a need to loiter and collect interview material. This wasn't a show I had planned on doing. I happened upon it, as so often ... happens. Anyway, this is why some of the early interview subjects allude to being able to see the statue, even though later in the episode, it is covered and people (who haven't seen it) were waiting for it to be uncovered.

I had some qualms about airing this. Was he sane? He was bellering all this out at full volume on a public sidewalk, in full earshot of passers-by. As some listeners have already mentioned, despite his inflammatory diatribe, he's kind of humorous in an obtuse way. You can even hear him laugh at himself a couple of times. He kind of sounds like Jerry Stiller to me. For the record, The Dusty Show loves womankind and promotes their equality, well-being and happiness. I also dig God and Jesus. Did I give in to sensationalism? Maybe.

There were so many worthy interview subjects (everyone is, but you know what I mean) that deserved better representation. I did my best with the time constraints. Thanks again for listening.
